  2. Due to real life getting in the way I'm having to step away from wurm so I'm letting my inn deed go. It's a project some of you know I had lots of plans for, the inn has even been visited by a demi-god. The deed is "The Three Legged Troll", located on the highway (i helped build) in O20. The building itself is a large 96 carp plan, has an 11x3 workroom in the back, plus the inn bar area at the front. Upstairs are 2 communal rooms, plus 2 single rooms, also on the 1st floor is a private room with access from the workroom via a ladder. The next floor has 3 private rooms, all rooms have beds, some other furniture bits but more furnishings are needed. There is a merchant (inn keeper downstairs), plus larder and chests to leave stuff out for people passing. I usually leave food, cotton and some basic tools. Outside at the back there are a few private pens, there is a public craft hall at the side. Out front is a highway that runs through the deed, a viewing area with mailbox and token. Under that are enchanted grass public pens and fields. There is an offshoot for a wagoner that I'll be moving to another deed, but the wagoner container will stay. The price for the deed is minus the merchant, if you would like the innkeeper merchant as well, just say so in the bid and that will be 7s on the price. There are 2 large carts out the back, one belongs to Wulfmaer. Oh and there is a 91QL rare loom inside the workroom along with tons of random stuff and building materials. There is also a small mine behind the inn with iron and sandstone veins. I haven't mined much more than a small tunnel yet, it has a nice ramp down to it mind. Pics: https://imgur.com/a/B3L9wC1 There is more furniture than shown, I just haven't updated the pics of the rooms yet, it's mostly just beds in the rooms. Upkeep is 1s29c per month. There is 16s68c in the upkeep so the price will take that into account. Starting bid: 20s Min increments: 1s Buyout considered via PM. I also have the owner (mayor) of the deed for sale if anyone is interested. Yetian https://www.niarja.com/skill_compare/Yetian I'm not good with prices for characters, but it's been suggested 50s/e is a fair price. I'll be selling him anyway so if interested, he can be sold with the deed, let me know via PM if you are interested in taking the deed with Yetian. He's a longstanding character and has had no issues during his/my time in game. He comes with all his tools, which are all enchanted I think. Armour and Weapon I'm selling on their own (armour is sold). His staff auction is:
  3. I am looking for a Freedom deed that I can buy, I would prefer coastal by all means or boat mine access to the deed at the very least. 7. As I was trying to enchant grass for a neighbor, I had an idea for something that would be really helpful. Several times I've had the experience of trying to help someone and them having trouble trying to figure out how to give me permissions to do what they'd like me to do. So here's an idea... If someone with the ability to modify deed permissions (called the mayor henceforth) is present (within a certain number of tiles - should be fairly close to prevent annoyance) and they have allowed this permission request: Then when the visitor attempts something not allowed, the mayor will get a popup window that details the action attempted, permission required, and asks for a response permit once permit for x:xx time disallow do not pester me for this action/person again To make a change permanent, click here to open the deed permission management window This would allow newbies to get help without spending an hour figuring out how to let someone help them... probably a lot of things I haven't thought of with this... but it seems like it'd be helpful to everyone. 8. Wickedwench Looking for an island just for yourself? Want to auction this deed on Xanadu since my irl buddy got active again, so we're moving to another server to start a deed together. Its located at R8, not far from Newspring. If you wanna have a look, just pm me here on the forum and we can arrange a guided tour. The deed contain 2 buildings, one main building with 2 bedrooms, and a nice spot for grinding your cookingskills. The other building is set up for smithing and leatherworking, and the second story is empty. Was planing to use it as storrage, it got a bridge from the outside so you can drive wagons inside. The mailbox is runed for increased size, and got a currier cast [100] on it, so its a fast an good mailbox. It also have a mine, so far Ive decovered following veins: Sandstone (Very good) Rocksalt (Normal) Copper (Good and normal) By the bay its a small farm too, just big enough to get you some food for cooking. There are 8 pens thats 2x1 big, and a bigger pen just outside the house. The big pen got all the tiles enchanted. So far its 5 enchanted grass tiles in the 2x1 pens, more will be added before the auction is over. There is a wagon, and a large cart that comes with the deed. Also 8 bulls, 4 horses (3 of them 5speed), some cows and sheeps. And its plenty of other things like storage (crate racks, many large storage units, foodbins) and other decoration. For more pictures, follow this link: https://imgur.com/a/fb9Ud The knarr on the pictures will not come with the deed! All rare decorations, like forges, ovens, wagons, signs and so on will NOT be sold with the deed. All rare items will be replaced with regular items. Picnic backets, merchant and other special uncraftable items will not come with the deed. Starting bid: 20s Minimum increase: 1s Private bids/Buyout: Nonono Sniper protection: 1hour If you got any questions, feel free to ask!
  9. Is there a significant difference in the amount of decay my ship will experience over time when Moored off-deed versus on-deed? Trying to decide if it's worth it to include shoreline in Deed for one or two ships, or just repair and improve from time to time? Thank you for your time and assistance.
  10. Does anyone know who owns the deed Moonlight Marina? It's a shoreline deed on centre south Indy. I've looked at the token, but it looks like it's an alt officially holding the deed. If anyone knows who the owner is, please let me know! I'm trying to get in contact with them
  11. After getting bored of my quiet little starter deed, I decided to take on a larger scale project in this game. I've picked a spot on the highest mountain I could find in Xan, spent 13 tedious hours getting up there and finally dropped my deed yesterday. Just look at that awesome view! P.S. I shall be using this thread as a progress update on the deed development and to showcase what I consider Elven in Wurm!
  12. I've been playing Wurm and developing my char and deed since 2013, but because real life I can't keep doing it so I sell both for saving them from decay and oblivion. My deed "Hispania" is located in E11 (Xanadu), is a deepwater port (with a lighthouse and docks for any type of ship) inside a bay just South of Glasshollow. A highway leads to Glasshollow or Vrock Landing. The deed has: - 2 Guard towers in the North and South that protect it. - A 4-stories Mayor's house. The house has almost all you can need or want for improving your skills (forges, ovens, large and small anvils, kiln, looms, spinning wheel, beds and a bunch of hand tools). There are many items stored neatly with bulk container units, large storage units, crate racks, barrel racks, wine barrel racks, larder and food storage bins. By example, there are stored 12600 rock shards, 900 slate shingles, 4500 wemps, 2400 cotton, 3600 mortar, 2100 stone bricks, 4500 animal bits, 1200 charcoal, 600 tar, 1500 logs, 3300 dirt, 3000 sand, 600 clay, about 6K food (meat, cereals, vegetals, etc). In the house's floor there is a shipyard (saves space up there and is funny having big ships above your house). - 3 Terraces with crops and animals (horses, sheeps, pigs, hens and bisons). - 5 Active beehives. - A mine with iron, tin, lead and sandstone veins. There is copper, zinc, clay, sand, tar, silver, gold and marble near but outside deed's limits. - A small inn for visitors. The deed comes with a land transporting system formed by 3 wagons, 6 large carts and 2 small carts and a navy with a knarr, corbita, cog and rowboat. The deed has almost all you can need, but condensed in a small space so the monthly cost is cheap (1 silver and 5 copper coins). My char Enderman has level 6 in the Path of Knowledge and good level in many crafting skills: https://www.niarja.com/skill_compare/Enderman Some rares and interesting items included in this sale: I sell both together and will consider your offers by PM.
  13. So i love the new map dump, but... I notice that there are deeds on there that are gone or have been renamed. I like to know who did it so i can get a hold of them to change the one that's called Castleedge to Kappa. I have gotten Kappa close to two years ago and it was with this name. So before someone says that it is using only data form more then two years ago. Then tell me why the Lormere by Glasshollow market is on there. And that was started and finished this year. Please help me with this i like to put Kappa on the map and Vend a Horse too. Vend a Horse has been there for at least three years as well. I have taken great pride on these two deeds and want people to see it too. Thank you for your time on reading this.
  14. I added zombies, gorillas, hyenas, etc to my servers spawn table and noticed that it takes a few minutes for Spirit Templars to start attacking them. Zombies in particular are an issue. Any ideas as to why this happens?
  15. This is something many players have been asking: "Why can't I move my settlement token after the deed has been placed?" It looks like a useful and natural feature, especially since the token does not have to be in the geographical center of the settlement anymore, anyway. There can be many reasons for moving the token a few tiles after placing the deed: Fixing an accidental misplacing Redesigning the settlement layout Building new structures or removing old ones etc... Of course, some of the more sophisticated implications of this suggested feature would have to be considered, especially when it comes to PvP problems. And, of course, deed size limitations must be observed (the token cannot be moved closer to the deed border than 6 tiles away). So, after some thought and discussion, here is my suggestion: Give us the ability to move the settlement token within the allowed area, considering deed size limitations. To prevent abuse this feature should come with a cost (5s - 10s) and have a cooldown of 6 months.
  16. WTS Hazedome(O16) deed on Xanadu - Very close to Hammer Lake Canal entrance allowing easy server hops. 18. We can allow a role to pass gates, but not mine doors. I do a lot of mines and have a lot of mine doors. I'd like more control of those door through the roles in settlement management, rather than having to set all the individual names on each door.
  19. Hello, I want to sell my deed at C20/21 (north coast) if Independence. Its a small deed, that has a gold/iron mine. It comes with 1 3x3 house equipped with some storage containers and forges, 3 horse pens with some 5 and 4 speed horses and enchanted grass tiles. It has a big mine with forges and a smelter, a ship transporter that is in my ownership and can be transfered. Mailbox has a 84 cast on it and a HOTS tower called "Nordhafen". No decorations so far (no lamps). It has 6 silver in its coffers and I am asking for 15s or make an offer. More infos in the screenshots below. You can contact Aristarchus ingame, or PM me here.
  20. As I continue work with the Ultima Nostalgia project (in which the entire server is one huge deed), I'm getting more and more requests on YouTube and elsewhere from people who would like to live in their own house on the server. I suspect that a lot of these people are Ultima players who have never tried Wurm before but who would be willing to buy Wurm Unlimited to live in a place that looks like UO and is populated by other Ultima fans. Obviously, since they've never played Wurm they don't really understand how deeds work. So I've tried to explain the problems of letting them live there. This got me to thinking about permissions. We can set permissions to houses, carts, boats, fences, mounts etc. But what if we could right click and set permissions to TILES that are within one's deed? This way, deed owners could: Create various empty plots - allowing "anything goes" so players could build a house from ground up, farm etc and anything they wished - so sort of like a mini deed inside a deed. Create a public mine that allows players to mine and pick up ore, but doesn't allow them to load a forge onto a cart Create wood chopping forests, keeping the forests and trees of the rest of the deed safe. Create public farming land And I'm sure there are many uses that I'm not even realizing at this point It would be up to the deed owner to mark these areas somehow with fences or signs Right click tile... Set permissions from a popup Coordinates of tile can be seen in the title to ease remote management Tile could be named to better keep track of which set of tiles (Plot 1, Plot 2, Public forest, Public mine etc) they belong to PS: Before posting this, I checked to see if there were any other similar posts, and I'd just like to point out that Enigma_Prime is suggesting something similar. Please go and check out Enigma's post as well. I decided to make a separate thread about this since what I'm asking for is slightly different, has different mechanics etc
  21. Unfortunately the time has come for me to sell off this deed. I had a happy time there but no time anymore for this deed. The deed is located on the release South-West coast, at approximately R22 on the in game map and is barely been touched, just a few buildings and roads. There is a trader on deed and another trader off deed if you like to expand the deed. There is a 27x2 bridge from the waterfront to the highway up. There is Tin, Copper, Marble and Iron on deed. Deed does not come with the Mayor. If you have any questions please feel free to send me a forum PM

  23. I feel that many people play this game for the novelty of how WURM works and the fact that you have pretty much full freedom to do what you want when you want with specific limitations. However, it has been my experience, regarding WURM, that there is an issue with player community. The players themselves do what they can to promote community and the devs have done a wonderful job improving this area yet to me it seems that it still lacks the "Let's be togetherness". I believe this idea that I have about the ability to "sell" property to players if they wish to be a citizen of a settlement can help with this shortcoming. Selling property with preset permissions that come with being an "auto citizen" lets individuals get to know others by proxy of purchased property. Essentially the community stems from being neighbors. One of the walls I have found as a deed owner is the fact that I have to "get to know" anyone and almost everyone that I add as a citizen. I would have to spend a considerable amount of time with an individual, as a deed owner or an individual that is capable of inviting strangers to a deed, in order to fully know if they are trustworthy enough to not seriously grief/damage everything on my deed before giving them the permissions that they want as part of a deed. All the while the individual wanting the benefits of my deed, and the community that comes with it, will have to wait that considerable amount of time to do pretty much anything on deed while they craft and build things off deed (wasting their time in my opinion). This may not seem like a problem with settlements that have a population less than 5 however when it gets to the point that the settlement has 10 - 20 or more then it gets annoying. As mentioned before as a settlement mayor it is hard to justify the time spent getting to know all the individuals that want to enter my deed. It is time better spent enjoying all the facets of this game that I have yet to do. This is only my opinion but the micromanagement style to deed owning is arduous. This issue is reduced a little with the ability to sell property that I allocate on my deed. As the mayor (or anyone authorized to do mayor things) I can then set certain permissions that automatically take effect as soon as they buy the property (and become a citizen of the settlement) just like it is set up now. The benefit of this situation is the individual that purchased the property can do what they wish, how they wish within the confines of the purchased property and its set permissions. The ability to sell property on a deed alleviates the issue of "trustworthiness" of the individual and enables them to gain the settlement benefits they so desire all the while putting a bit of currency in the coffers of the deed (the purchaser will still have to adhere to and be aware of any taxes that come with being a citizen). It is no secret that WURM also lacks anything that can be considered an economy. It has been mentioned by the players and the devs uniformly that the trading system between players is... clunky at best. The idea of selling property will benefit to the inevitable solution by creating a bit of "cash-flow" through the settlement. The Mayor (or authorized citizens) plant a property marker, sets the price and they are done. As soon as another player "purchases" that property marker funds are debited from the players account and the deed coffer is credited. Now this is in no way to be a huge effect on the problem but does introduce motivation to both purchase and use in-game currency. So this is all good but how would a system like this be set up? Good question and I have thought about this quite a bit: 1) Mayor (or authorized citizen) sets up permissions for a "New citizen" just like they do now. This will be what they are allowed to do anywhere on the deed (Pick-up items, not pick-up items, Lead, not lead, dig, not dig, etc.) 2) Set up a "property profile" for different types of property (what the purchaser is allowed to do within the confines of this type of property) Similar to the "New citizen" permissions however will include subjects such as maximum slope allowed or maximum building height for example. 3) Purchase a property stake from a trader (or make one. this would be entirely up to codeclub) 4) Place the property stake. Now this seems simple however I have thought about just letting the "marker" be in the center like the deed marker but considering you are dealing with a much smaller area (I'm thinking minimum 5x5 tiles with a one tile [or more] perimeter) Having a marker in the center where you cannot build anything would be annoying. So the solution would be to place the marker and have a UI that would allow a 0 to be placed in the fields asking how far north/east/west/south you would like the property to be with a minimum of two fields filled in and a mandatory perimeter (minimum one tile). 5) Apply a "property profile" to the marker and “citizen type” they would become if purchased. 6) Set Price 7) Player purchases property That's it. As soon as the purchaser buys the property they are now a citizen of the settlement (which is set with the "property profile") and can freely build within the property limits (also set in the "property profile"). From here on it is up to the new citizen to get to know others do good things for the settlement and gain more permissions or higher citizen ranking along the way. I admit there are a few more questions that need to be answered that are more difficult to deal with and ultimately, if this idea takes off, would have to be debated. However this is the gist of the subject. Some questions that I had a hard time confronting: 1) If an individual purchases property then quits playing/doesn't follow the rules/irritates the other citizens; do I as the mayor have the right to revoke their citizenship and take their property? A: If the property was rented you could as deed owner refuse to continue contract after expiration. 2) If, as a mayor, I have the right to take their property how does codeclub prevent mayors from stealing your game currency by booting the citizen out as soon as the transaction is complete? A: The mayor would be bound to a "rental contract", as it were, and be unable to cancel the contract until the agreed upon time is met. The deed owner would also be unable to disband the deed until such time that all rental contracts are expired. This would alleviate this issue. 3) Would a purchaser have the ability to purchase more property and if so how would I prevent them from “land-grabbing”? A: All properties are by contract and a default of one contract per toon. It would be between the deed owner and the renter to allow for a bigger plot. 4) Would a purchaser have the right to develop the property then sell to another? If so does the second purchaser become a citizen? and to this if so then what level of citizen? A: No, however one could allow the rental contract to expire therefore allowing another individual to rent the space. 5) Can purchasers "sub-lease"/share the property? A: No 6) After purchasing; would the purchaser be able to add others to the property and set permissions for them? A: No EDIT: It has bee pointed out by Vanyel that renting spaces would be more viable and I agree. EDIT 2: If you like this idea you may like this idea as well
  24. I'm just curious, how often does everyone update their deed upkeep? I do mine monthly, but I'm just wondering what the norm is...
