I think we finally have a presentable building that we can show you all! We've started the construction of the Muspellsheimr Castali after a few months of planning and material prep. So far, we've gone through nearly 4000 bricks, 3500 mortar, and about 1000 planks. This is one of the four large buildings that will be apart of this somewhat small, yet overpowering, sized castle. We have to complete another segment of the deed so we can update with more pictures here! The interior is a mess right now, but most of the inner walls are finished, as well as the parapets on the outsides. I will refrain from posting pictures of the insides (sorry!) until we can get our stuff sorted out inside. We also need to create some furniture inside of it to make it more roomy.

Silakka, I highly suggest you unplug for a day and go visit a family physician and get diagnosed on what exactly disorder you are suffering from. You will feel better about your self once you are on the proper medication to help treat this disability you are struggling to keep under control. There is no shame in admitting you have a problem and millions of people all over the world are able to lead productive lives after receiving a diagnosis and through the use of proper medication. I am not sure why I am being forced to come to these forums and defend our village from an attack by a player we have had no contact with other than tells to our mayor stating your general dislike for us. But here we are, first you had our village added to the road map without our permission along with defamatory statements regarding our perimeter, and now in this thread. I would like to refute the inaccurate statements you have made regarding our intentions with the area we currently control though the use of in game mechanics that were suggested and supported by the majority of the community of Wurm Online, mainly being the new deed system currently in place. Since you are a relatively new resident to the lands of Wurm and you are not familiar with how deeds use to work, I would like to give you a quick education. The old deeding system was limited to the size of deedable land and broken into 13 categories of deeds. There were 3 different homestead deeds and 10 different village deeds. Homesteads were limited to once citizen while village deeds were limited on citizens by size of the deed. Here is a link to the settlement history on wurmpedia that shows a graph detaining this further: http://wurmpedia.com...739&oldid=27731 Regardless if your deed was homestead or village you automatically received a 50 tile perimeter surrounding your deed. One option that was nice with the old system that we currently do not have was perimeters could overlap if both deed owners agreed. This allowed for villages or homestead to be closer to each other if the current deed owner wanted a neighbor while allowing people like us who wish to live in relative seclusion the ability control the land surrounding our deed. Our old deeds on the Jen Kellon server allowed us to block off the southern half of our peninsula on the west coast while our neighbors with their deeds blocked off the northern half of the peninsula. This is how the game was played back in the day and there are still a lot of us around that still enjoy having room for future expansion. We spent multiple years building that area up, some of it was built on while other areas of the land we wished to keep wilderness. That was our prerogative then and that is our prerogative now. We were able to acomplish this by spending only a fraction of what we currently pay for. The new system that was implemented removed the default larger perimeter sizes but allowed the older playerbase to pay in game coin to adjust the perimeter size to suit their needs and reserve the perimeter for future expansion. This is exactly what we are doing and if the rules were to change we would no longer pay money to play this game. So by your logic it is better to run off people with "deep pockets" investing in game currency to control areas of the land to free up more land for the people paying less money? Let me remind you that our rather large monthly upkeep is distributed back to the deliverance community though the trader system which only helps everybody living on deliverance. For the life of me I cannot understand that logic, as you are a deliverance citizen yourself. The deed you are referring did not cause anybody to quit the game. It was a simple matter of they moved to a different location and the land was up for grabs so we seized that opportunity. Let me spell this out for you clearly so you can understand: A group of individuals stopped paying money to control the area so we took the opportunity to pay money to control the area. Furthermore you have no inkling of what our intentions are for that portion of our land. We have not divulged this information to you and I am not required to do so now. We were excited to finally have that last piece of area available to us because this will allow us to accomplish our goals and give us space we require to do so. We are not on your timeline on when things need to be accomplished in the game. I play this game at my own pace and if we want to pay money to hold land until I get to it I will do just that. This is just a game, its not my job, and you are not my employer. In fact, Wurm in a great distraction that allows me to forget about real world deadlines and do what I want in the game when I want to do it. I do not have to answer to anybody in this game and this includes you. You are incorrect on this entire statement. We had multiple deeds to cover the area required for our master village plan to keep other players from deeding the areas we needed to expand our village to the required size. We never forced anybody to leave their homes, nor we would ever do such an action. We had to wait months (THE ONLY WAY TO WIN IN WURM IN THOUGH PATIENTS) until the deed was lifted and then we were able to claim that land. Nobody was forced into doing anything, we do not wield that power nor do we wish it. Having perimeter in the water is a result of the current restriction relating to North and South and East and West being linked in perimeter expansion. It's the way the game is, I do not control that. In fact you even posted such a statement in the suggestion thread on page one: http://forum.wurmonl...deed-expansion/ How obtuse can you be? You really have no idea what you are talking about. The previous owner of that land destroyed the land not us. We did not or have not chopped down a single tree in that area or dropped a single piece of sand. He made all the half finished palisade's, chopped down all the trees, and even came into our perimeter to do the same thing. He was the one griefing not us. He is your "buddy" send him a tell and ask. Furthermore before spreading lies on the forums you should verify your facts. He made it look like that, not us because he new we would have to fix it after he was long gone. I just laugh at the entire situation. He wasted his time on something that will have 0 effect on what we want to do. He actually helped out by clear cutting the forest and sanding the area so we will not have to accomplish that task ourselves. Do you really believe that reclaiming land from a disbanded village is considered griefing? If that is the case 90% of the people playing this game are griefers. Again, we did not force anybody to leave the area. They left we reclaimed the land its as simple as that. Nothing was fully enclosed, no threats were made, no harassment took place on our part. He ended up pitching a fit because he didn't have the forsite to keep his trader deeded is all it boiled down to. We had no idea there was even a trader there until he started complaining on the forums and got the GM's involved. In the end it was proven that no rules were broken by us and the GM issued a public apology stating such. Move on man, this is an old issue that didn't even involve you. Why you are so concerned about this and how we play the game is beyond me. Why do you care how many deeds were crammed into the area we now have deeded? There is no way you met 7 people who left because of our deeds. That is just more lies on your part. The fact is not one person has left because of our deed or us griefing them. Everybody who exited the area around us either moved to a different location on deliverance without our being the cause or moved to a new server when they opened up. I don't know what his intentions were but If the 1 person you have talked to who lived next to us wanted more area he should of placed more deeds or expanded his current deed to claim more land as it opened instead of disbanding it. We have 0 control over those decisions and 0 control of the people making them. Why are you so obsessed on what we choose to spend our in game coin on? What difference does it make to you on how we choose to play the game? If you are upset we added you on KOS then maybe you should of thought first about sending our mayor nasty threatening tells. Your travel is in no way effected by the KOS, we just now have a smaller scene of security that this crazy person isn't going to come to our area and start griefing us. Note the word small, as I do not trust you any further than I can throw you. Just because it's the rules of the game. Look, you are playing a sandbox game. This gives you the freedom the play how you want to play and when you want to play. We have not nor will we ever impede on your game play. Being upset because our land is bigger than yours sounds like you have other size issues you are dealing with. Jealousy and want are not griefing dude, get over it. Go play the game how you want where you want, this has no effect on my game play, and never will. I don't care about you, I don't want to be your friend, I don't want to move my merchant to your ugly redundant market place. I make enough money where its at now and my suspicions are you is that is what upset you in the first place. According to who? You? Who are you? You are some noob who has only been playing this game for a couple month. Limits inside a sandbox game hurts everybody. Again, when and what I do to the land should have zero impact on your enjoyment of the game. It's scary that you have this obsession with how we are playing the game. Wurm is a sandbox game and everybody plays it how they want to. As long as we are not breaking any rules or harassing you, both of which we have not nor will we do, you should not be effected by this in the least bit. Seriously, focus on something else and stop complaining about things that have no effect on you. Perimeters serve two purposes. Future expansion and putting a buffer between you and new settlements. As I have at explained at great length above that is what we are doing. You have no idea the size of our deed. You can't even get near it to get a good estimate on the size of it. You have no idea that we have been increasing the size of our core deed to fill in the perimeter slowly as we get the funds needed. None of this is your concern and none of this effects your game play. Its all in your mind, something is not clicking correctly up there. Seriously seek out some help, you will be glad you did! We want a sense of seclusion and we want enough area to make our little corner of deliverance the way we want it. We played the game that way for years and will continue to play the game that way using the rule set of the game. The only person who is unharmonious here is you. You are the one bringing unwanted attention to us, You are the one posting these useless threads in the form stating opinions of thing you have no idea about, You are the one sitting and obsessing about people in a game you will never meet and have any interaction with in life. You are of no consequence to me and this entire discussion is silly and worthless. Its just a game, we play it differently than you. If you want to play a game where everybody does the same thing as you I suggest you go try World of Warcraft, I think you would enjoy the cookie cutter mold that everybody does the same thing and plays the same way as you. No perimeters should be used exactly how they are used now, for FUTURE expansion and to give a buffer between villages. It's up to the village owner to determine both the time frame and how much money they wish to invest to make both of those come to fruition. You have only been playing this game a couple months. You have not even begun to understand the freedom this game allows for. I make no apologies for playing longer than you and being a member of a village with both newer player and veterans like myself. We choose to play with friends from real life, from other games we have recruited into wurm, and from friends we have met inside the game. We have no ill will towards you, we just want you to leave us alone and I beg you to stop brining attention to us when we are not asking for it. In the old days posting somebody's village on the road map when they were not asking for it would of brought the community down hard on you. What this all comes down to is a case of jealousy and want. Once you are able to understand the basic economics in the difference between want and need your entire opinion on this subject will change. Also brining back the old style map sizes would really limit these types of complaints. More size means more space for people to play the game how they want. Be it in a crowded cluster of villages all working together or the players who enjoy living out on some far corner of the map enjoying the seclusion of the wilderness. When the maps were shrunk we are forced to deal with this limited mind set. The larger maps use to allow this to happen naturally. Indi is a horrible example of this due to the unnecessary shut down of two full sized home severs and cramming them in to one map where half of the ocean front property are giant mountains with horrible dirt layers. Ever since then there has been this weird mentality of cramming villages together while the veteran players prefer the space to grow. I'm just glad the current perimeter system allows both to happen in such cramped quarters. Now go call that Doctor, if not for me do it for the rest of Wurm community!

I would like to suggest some special clothes for priests. My idea is a beautiful long robe that might require various materials like gold or silver and cotton. Also priest shoes that are also elaborate with cloth and pelt maybe. Something that looks good and gives also a bonus to the magic stuff instead like all current clothing a malus. I usually run around without any armor currently but it looks not very nice and feels cold particularly in winter. So, some nice priest outfit that feels warm also in winter would be really nice. It could be a cloth tailoring item. Maybe different color robes for different followers? Or different material requirements? Or, different robe types that give different bonus per level like with the meditation rugs? Just tossing out ideas here. I just want a nice outfit currently that does not make me look so nekid and has no negative effect on the magic.

I was thinking about how to keep aggressive animals on deed and still have spirit guards active to protect against trolls bashing walls down and had an idea. My idea is that while we have an aggressive animal tamed/dominated allow them to be branded . Once they are branded and turn back aggressive the guards will know that they belong to that deed and will not attack them anymore. This would only work on the deed that the animals are branded to any other deeds guards would attack as normal. I don't know if you can even brand an aggressive animal now or not but thought this was a good idea for keeping hell horses and other animals.. What do you think?

That's why you get a warning when putting up a house on undeeded land. It warns you that you have no protection on undeeded lands. It may be seen as griefing to the player that lost his undeeded house, but it is very well known that you need to 'deed it or lose it'. Anyone who tries to keep a house for long undeeded better have a remote, unwanted location, or expect to get it taken via game mechanics. Money talks here in Wurm, just like in RL.

Impressive, well done ! Is going 90.00 -> 100.00 more work than 70.00 -> 90.00 ? If so, they should make titles for 100.00 skills, like Legendary Miner, or I don't know.

As much as i love living in North America now there breakfast's suck, seriously. Gimmie a full english, cooked in a portacabin in a layby on the M1, there's nothing better. Flacid bacon, not the cardboard the NA's serve, mystery meat sausage, fried black pudding, tomatoes and mushrooms and baked beans (again North American there not real baked beans unless it says Heinz on the tin and none of this bacon bits and mayple syrup nonsense), toast, bread and butter ..... and a mug of milky tea you can stand the spoon up in. All cooked on a hot plate that hasn't been cleaned since Henry the VII, surrounded by faintly embarrased black bits of former meat products who only hang around the hot plate in a desperate attempt to remember there glory days. Ah maybe one of only three things i miss

Recently, i bought an account and i have attempted to remove those from another kingdom from my friendslist /remove playernamehere It works, they are removed off my friendslist for the time being, however, when they log back in, they are back on my friendslist. I can't tell if its because of them logging in, or it resets every time i cross servers, either way it is somewhat of an issue.

^^^edit: except clearly some people are booted by the login server. Why the heck does the login server kick people and then go down? And why does it always pick me?

Been this way since Wurm started, so I doubt it will ever change. You just have to learn how the game works so you don't lose items you need. Everyone goes through this point and learns to accept how the game is played, so should you.

The tax you set is a tax on the trader's profits. Say they buy a source crystal for 20 silver from a player, then they sell it to someone else for 26 silver (made up numbers). If you set the tax to the maximum of 40%, then your upkeep will receive (26 - 20) x .4 = 2.4 silver. The other 3.6 silver remains on the trader for the person to drain off by selling it something else. Gramuly: there is the possibility of someone screwing you over by setting the ratio at the beginning of the month, and draining it all at the end of the month, right before the ratio resets. Then they would only need to buy one small thing to set the ratio for the next month, so the trader would barely make any taxable profits whatsoever. You would be better off managing the trader yourself, or at least getting someone you trust to manage it.

@ Hdkml Most people do it threw PayPal. The buyer sends a "gift" of money to the person selling x items, once the seller receives the money he then trades you the money in-game in this case. Basicly the same for account buying/selling also. And Aetherwalker is a good person to buy from, he's sold a lot and is known/trusted by many.

And if Rolf agrees with you that it's a good idea to obliterate thousands of player hours of work in a few seconds due to a random event, he'll only be demonstrating once again that he has a poor understanding of why a substantial chunk of people play his game. You also appear to not understand that Wurm is a building and crafting game to most of us. We don't build and craft things so that rocks falling from the sky can destroy them. Those of us who are willing to play on PVP servers build and craft at least partly for PVP. Even if these things we build are destroyed by PVP action, they were built for PVP. It's part of PVP competition - can what you built stand up to what the enemy is throwing at it? Nuking entire deeds into oblivion, while at the same time destroying all subsurface structures and creating massive trenches or rock spires that can't be terraformed without the use of hundreds of thousands of units of dirt is just plain broken. You are entitled to your own opinion RainRain, but don't try to pretend that we are not also entitled to our own opinions as well. In my opinion, the damage generated by these "Epic" events aren't Epic, they are irresponsible.

Once again the complaint comes up about non-aggro populations in the wild, so I will explain the nature of things again. What happens with cattle and horses (and unfortunately deer and unicorns) is what has already happened in the real world, but since we live on islands, not really continents, it happens much faster. Go out today to find a wild horse in RL. Except for some steppe horses in Russia and wild horses in the USA, you won't find any. And those are small horses, not really of much use for riding or hauling due to weight limits. You would get a much better horse from a horse breeder. And the same goes for Wurm Unless you get in on a new server opening, you aren't going to have much of a chance to find wild horses, and bred ones are better anyway. It's just a fact of (virtual) life you will have to learn to live with.

Which heavy burden would that be? Misdirected anger isn't likely to help. Whatever the actual problem is, hope you're able to take an honest look at it and work it out. Best of luck with whatever must be happening on your end... keep the old chin up... don't go for the permanent solution to temporary problems... keep calm and carry on... tomorrow is more than likely another day... hang in there... get some sleep and do something nice for yourself... if applicable, don't use drugs without direction from a doctor and lay off the booze... uhm... eat comfort food, or hit the gym, depending on your style... do both... buy her some flowers and tell her you're an idiot... don't get upset when she agrees... watch a good comedy...

The only thing that I think might be stupid is that it creates irreversible changes. Players should always have the option to repair the damage. There should be no exception to where it can hit though, except starter deeds on the home servers.

The media or function keys in discussion are controlled by the BIOS and AFAIK no external applications can access them. People need to learn how to use their equipment before paying games.

You do realize that a large amount of money that was on the Pristine cluster from the day of opening came from the other servers anyway via Epic and the bank system ? Money is moved around the servers constantly in some way or another, it moving form the Pristine cluster to the Independance cluster would barely be noticable considering how much is already on that cluster to start with.

    1. Buff taming so that it is useful again. 2. Make hungry aggressive mobs stop attacking horses. 3. Add an untame option to easily untame horses. 4. Have creatures drop "rare" loot. Goblins could drop a mid ql gem occasionally, trolls could sometimes spawn with an impable and repairable 50+ql large maul instead of a shod club. Champion creatures could drop a few coppers.

I, for one, am quite happy on the deed I own and chose the place that I did so that I wouldn't have to leave very often. That's how I enjoy the game. That said, I know there are other suggestions that would help, such as hitching posts for horses, living on large boats, and making it faster to travel inter- and intra-server.

Disaster! Last week an enormous explosion occurred somewhere around the South-West region of Celebration. Hours after the blast, aftershocks could still be felt for some miles away, frightening most of the citizens who thought Wurmagedden had arrived. Even now smoke is billowing into the sky from a landmass in the area affectionately known as "The Dark Island". Buildings there seem to have been completely obliterated, yet the wildlife remains unharmed. The cause of the explosion is being investigated by authourities... however, the Wunion has gotten to the bottom of the story. It just so happens the luxury caravel "Carlotta" was cruising by the island at the moment the explosion began. Passengers on deck said they witnessed two people there who appeared to be arguing about something. One of which, Fatboy, who's tremendous eating exploits are known world wide, was visiting the island. The other person was renowned cheese alchemist, Docterchese, whose experiments border on the insane. Moments after the two parted ways, the massive eruption occurred. Debris from the blast splattered the ship as it passed. We visited the port where the caravel was docked and got a sample of the "gunk" so we could have it analyzed by a specialist. The report, bizarre as it seems, claims it's mostly a combination of woad, cheese, coal, and belladonna, with a few other unknown ingredients blended in. This asks the question... Has Docterchese come up with a secret recipe for a new explosive blue cheese? What other crazy experiments are happening on this island? And finally, how does this product taste on a cracker?
