    I don't really want to, but I am taking a break from Wurm because RL attacked. I'm not sure how long I will be gone, but it will most likely be measured in months or more. I've really enjoyed every aspect of Wurm. The players ( even the GL Trolls ), the game itself, being a CA ( even for as short of a time as I was one ), even dropping random stuff off at deeds because they gave me unload permissions... all of it. I hope I was able to help people in my short tenure as a CA, bring a smile to someone or make them chuckle with my stupid jokes and image/video links or even help someone outside of being a CA - be it with a project, a random question in GL or Freedom, a desperately needed item or even just a conversation. Sorry, this is getting depressing. To keep it from ending on a depressing note, I'll post my last bit of graffiti on @PandyLynn's deed. I hope you all like it and Pandy, I hope you love them and cherish them PS: The screenshot does not give their color any credit at all. They are a truly blinding pink even without snow on the ground.

    The Lunalong Building - Dracaa Greetings Wurmians! Retro here with the hottest of goss, the juiciest of news, the most scandalous of tidbits, aka the Valrei International! But first.. Patch Notes We'd be alright if the wind was(not) in our sails! No sea shanties here, but there is something coming very soon! That's right, the long wanted ability to furl sails and remove windspeed affecting the ships movement. This allows for better control when parking and also makes the docks a little nicer looking in my opinion! In the hall of the mountain farmer Also coming soon is the ability to farm underground! We'll be adding farming boxes for you to plant and grow any crop inside caves. These will be able to be built below ground as well as above ground in buildings. They are not able to be tended however. They don't need sunlight either, but that's wogic for you! UI works One of our goals with the UI update is to add scalability to text to allow for 4k monitors to be a lot easier to read, and with that we're working on allowing UI elements to be resized as you can see below To cut down on clutter within the UI the health/stamina bar will also be compacted, showing CCFP and sleep bonus when moused over Wurm Unlimited news As some have already stated, our focus for Wurm unlimited is shifting from content updates from WO to bug fixes and more modding support. We'll be adding the client modloader to the vanilla WU client which will allow for easier control of mods as well as many other features. We'll be working closely with server admins and modders via the Discord server in providing as much support as we can. While this does mean the end of content updates from us, our goal is to provide as much freedom as possible to the modders to continue to push what is possible in Wurm. Community Content The Lunalong is here! In the amazing underground halls of Kappa on Xanadu, located just near Lormere is the annual Lunalong by Dracaa, it's an amazing deed, with amazing people, and just, gosh, so amazing. There's even a maze...ing This Friday our very own Bloody Drongo will be hosting his annual fashion competition there too, so make sure to get your swimsuit body ready (or harvest one) and attend! There's a lot in the works, and our focus is on making Wurm the best game it can be over the next few months, this includes the loyalty system I have discussed as well as other features including improvements to Animal Husbandry, combat and a bunch of other things yet to hit the table.     I can't think of any circumstances where mod code has been used, ideas have been used both ways, and many popular mods started as suggestions on the forums, but I don't think we've ever taken mod code and put it straight in, there's a totally different function for us. Obfuscating mods would only hurt other modders and the modding community. This whole aim is to work with the modding community and provide the support they need to make the content they want to see in the game, WU has always been about personal freedom on small private servers, I don't see this changing that.

    As some might be aware, there has been (and continues to be) flooding in the north of England over the last week. In my local area of Doncaster, there have been evacuations, and many homes and businesses have suffered huge losses. One not-for-profit business very special to me has lost nearly everything, and I'd like to help them get back on their feet as much as I can. They not only give books away to children totally free, without any means testing, but they also help people with disabilities, mental health issues, or other barriers to work get work experience and training in a friendly, supportive environment, where you can go to work every day without feeling like you're selling your soul to a corporate monster. They also run 3 local libraries that the city council has given up on, keeping these important community centers going for local residents, most of whom are in deprived areas. When I was finally allowed to legally work in the UK, I had then been out of work for over 5 years, and had lost all confidence in my abilities, and felt very isolated due to my being a foreigner here, being hearing impaired, and dealing with mental health issues. Re-read had a huge hand in rebuilding my self-confidence and setting me up with a good skills base. I loved going to work every day. Unfortunately, I ended up having to move on to another full time, higher paying job, for financial reasons, but I still love Re-Read and support them as much as I can. During the floods, their building was flooded, and they've lost nearly everything. Most of the books are wet, or damaged by the damp. They've had to stop trading, right as the Christmas rush was beginning - their most profitable time of the year. They've no electricity. The building has been damaged, and the cleanup task is daunting. And this isn't a business sitting on any pile of cash, because it all goes into supporting the kids, the libraries, and the employees. And it's raining again here. Please PM me for a link to the GoFundMe set up by one of the directors. If you can pitch in even a couple of dollars, or a few quid, it will REALLY help them, and these are good people who deserve to be helped back to their feet again. Every little bit helps!     As the leader of the most active deed since day 1, experienced burnout and seen alot of active great villagers (like OP, we miss you nygen ) quit i can say this about Jackal Pros - Mystery, fun figuring out the map - New challenge, somewhat new content alot of it recycled in a good way - Opportunity to play with new people who you wouldnt normally play with Suggestions - The terrain just f'n sucks, it's tedious, its not fun. Wetas constantly get hung up when trying to fight at beacons, tone down the steepness by 10% atleast - Skill transfer f'n sucks. If you're going to make it slow skill gain, atleast make it rewarding, or else give us challenge server skillgain at like 6x or something. People don't want to grind if the skill transfer sucks. We'd rather have fast skill gain and no transfer. But think about it, if you gave people a 1:1 skill transfer from Jackal back to Freedom, EVERYONE would be playing on Jackal, and thats what you want. Freedom will become the "dumpster" league like Standard in PoE, Which is fine, because everyone loves playing the new content anyway. For those of you freedomers who grinded to 95-100 (myself included), good for you, but know if you want your game to succeed, freedom ain't gunna cut it for everyone else in the world and help the game succeed. - 400-500'ish Jackal Beacons are repetitive and boring with this many people burning out. Do something drastic to revitalize the server, seriously. Get these people back. Increase skill gain to freedom? If there's real incentive like bonus skill gain there, people will want to move from freedom to jackal to grind. That's GOOD. - This whole - "Non sb, no CoC" skill gain relation is F'N STUPID. WE WORKED HARD FOR THOSE BONUSES, Why take them away from us?! You want to make people mad or make them feel rewarded and keep giving you money? Seriously you guys shoot yourselves in the foot ALOT. Don't give me the "If you want skill just grind on freedom" crap, FREEDOM IS BORING AND DYING, THAT'S WHY YOU MADE JACKAL. Alot of people are resubbing after not playing for years because they found no point in grinding on freedom anymore. Don't ruin your own efforts to revitalize a game by some ill-conceived rules. - Make WS and channeling skills faster, it's too much of a grind to decent weapons to entice people. WS Gains are SLOWER on Jackal (wtf?) Jackal is an opportunity to actually make WURM great, where you release meaningful seasonal content patches. This was a good start, dont scrap the idea just fix and improve. Alot of us are really enjoying working together on a goal that feels more then just "minecraft freedom wurm" -- EDIT OMG IM A GENIUS. Memory Stone - 1000 Jackal Points - Copy any 1 skill from Jackal to Freedom at a 1:1 skill ratio. Body Stone - 2000 Jackal Points - Copy all gains to body stats at a 1:1 ratio Mind Stone - 2000 Jackal Points - Copy all gains to Mind stats at a 1:1 ratio Soul Stone - 2000 Jackal Ponts - Copy all gains to Soul stats at a 1:1 ratio

    Right now, hitching posts work like vehicles, requiring a certain amount of Body Strength for an animal to be hitched. For a hitching post, this is roughly 15 Body Strength, based on the hitching post's weight. Unfortunately, this means many domestic/common animals cannot be tied to them, including: Pigs Hens / Roosters / Chicks Pheasants Foals Calves Lambs Human children (For the sake of brevity I've only listed domestic animals; there are other tameable creatures that also cannot be hitched.) I was really hoping I could use hitching posts for some of these, especially hens and pigs, since the trough would help out a lot, and the post itself helps position the animals to avoid overcrowding without having to use tons of fence posts. So, why not just disable the Body Strength check, either for domestic animals only or for all animals? The gameplay argument: There's no real detriment done to the game by allowing things like hens or pigs to be hitched to a post, or for Body Strength to be the limiting factor, and expanding the number of animals that can use it would make it more convenient to raise animals like pigs and chickens. Moreover, when a player attempts to hitch an animal to a post, it's not really clear why it would fail. The realism argument: You can tie off damn near any animal to a post if you really want to. People even walk hens on leashes and harnesses (or you could tie a rope around its leg if you were desperate). It doesn't really depend on how strong the animal is, although it's obviously a bit trickier for smaller animals. Either way, it's certainly more obviously realistic than some other things we can already do with animals, such as hitching a giant insect to the yoke of a cart. So basically... it's unintuitive on multiple levels why it works this way, and removing the Body Strength check would also improve gameplay applications without causing problems, so why not?

    Would it hurt to give this information in the original post? Also would be nice to know if it works exactly the same as if it were actual farm spot, so you can tend it as well to give more yield. Or is this against some policies that you guys love just to keep players begging for information? I dont understand why you guys want to keep everything as a secret because its gonna be asked pretty much instantly or reported as a bug. Give the proper details when you introduce stuff... We can say its a new QoL thing. Thanks!

    It was really fun at the beginning. The feeling of this hostile, desolate world, the amount of people (i think we had over 40 in the village alone? Most of whom i have never met before). Skill gain was annoying but nothing really terrible. Slower than on Freedom for most part but hey, between the 100+ players, we should be able to beat the scenario any way so good fun. Then the first attempt at skill transfers came around. Complete flop. Reward for the time spent and work done over there felt like a punishment. I didn't cross to Freedom because i fully expected stuff to go pear-shaped. Then the 2nd attempt at skill transfers happened - same thing. Again, didn't attempt crossing over, expecting funky things to happen. They did happen. My main is stuck on Jackal since he crossed over on day one and i'm just depressed with this. I'm not crossing to Freedom because going by past experience, something will go wrong. I stopped paying premium on all toons. I'm only maintaining my main deed using a freemium alt. Rest of the deeds fell or will fall. I miss Wurm and my friends but i'm not taking a chance. Depending on how will the skill transfers work in the end, i would love to go back to Jackal for the next round but as far as i read on forums and Discord - i would rather grind my botanising and foraging on Freedom, at least i'll have something to show for the countless hours spent on doing something i don't enjoy at all. This is just my personal view. I think the idea is great and the look&feel of Jackal is spot-on. I just don't care for weapon skins and alike, i never did rifts, i don't like the combat in Wurm at all. I was simply hoping to have a reason to grind those 2 skills, for example to feed the village of 40+. It worked very well and i didn't mind doing the things i dread in Wurm because they had a purpose. On one hand to feed the villagers on the other hand, to carry some skill back to Freedom. Some people play for the social interactions, others like fighting, someone else likes the new weapon skins. I don't enjoy any of those but i was hoping to get "something" out of it. So far all i got was a non-premmed main and a break from Wurm for over a month now. As long as the skill transfers aren't worth the time, it's just something that's there as an option i'll never use, much like Chaos or Epic.

    As I already mentioned in other post I I'd like to see some changes in Jackal Shop. After talking to many different players on Jackal I realized that I am not the only one who is very disappointed with such poor rewards system. I want to make some suggestion to Devs speaking from artisan/designer point of view and yes there are few settlers, artisans and designers that playing Jackal and they all like my suggestions. Please add to Shop new skins ! Here are just few ideas that will be very rewarding to artisans if not to all players : 1. Jackal trees textures skins that we can apply to already existing item on freedom to make Desolate wood large cart or Tulip Knarr etc or apply such skin to log and create materials for wood finish or maybe even sprout so we can grow such trees on freedom ! Note: make such skins cost less than 200 points. Not many people managed to get lots of points. 2. Weta skin to apply to Horse or Hell horse. 3. Worg or/and Rabid Hyena helmet to apply to any other helmet or worg rug to apply to any other animal rug. 4. Giant Crab or/and Isopod display to apply to axe or sword display to give us decor variety to proudly display our trophies. 5. Any Jackal animal such as Gorilla, weta, isopod, worg, hyena statue to apply to any freedom statue. 6, Tapestry with Jackal views to apply to any freedom tapestry. If you like these ideas please reply or make your own suggestions. 😊

    Not much of a poster, but i do read posts a lot. I'll keep it brief. terrain needs fixing. Slopes to steep and we get stuck a lot, and some beacons are in some impossible places. skill gains need to be way faster. if you do make them a lot faster you can remove the skill transfer to stop abuse, skill transfer is not worth it when some skill are passed 70 on freedom anyways. make jackal points worth getting. remove dumb skins, and replace with things that you can buy from the Traders (ex. farwalker stones, sleep powders, magical chest, etc. ...just remove trader, merchant, and wagoneer contracts) increase moon metal veins. since we are on a moon after all. allow jackal mobs to attack freedom beacons and deeds. People just make to much freedom beacons, which seem useless unless you want logs, and people just lock themselves up on a deed. Lets give them a reason to get the blood pumping. lower the time that jackal is open, six months seems to long, at that time we go from anyone being specialized to everyone being jack of all trades. i suggest 3 months jackal is up, and 6 months its closed, rinse and repeat, that would give us time to play jackal and then play freedom, I'm sure people can do 3 month after playing Wurm for years. increase mob spawns. jackal seems like a desert and it makes fight skill grinding very hard. Why not centralize starter deed on map and move jackal strongholds to the corners of the map and dot the map with jackal beacons increasing with amount as we get closer to the strong holds, with not as strong beacon guards closer to spawn and stronger beacon guards closer to strongholds. Regarding suggestion 7. At the start jackal strongholds should be open when the jackal server opens, and the jackal beacons should not be needed to be shutdown to allow us to fight and or destroy the strongholds. The jackal beacons are just a source of jackal points. Jackal strongholds could provide more jackal points, than beacons, but could give enemy drops that can be taken to freedom, kind of like the rift system on freedom severs, if you enter a stronghold you are added to a list of players with participation percentage.

    832 tiles of an 8x8x13 at 97+ farming? think you can loose the tending bonus The few farmers i know dont tend anymore anyway they just plant and use bee's and harvest when ripe and get such huge insane quantities its crazy even without tending

    As a programmer I'd say that source code has nearly no value without the coder writing it. Reading someone's code is sometimes more difficult than writing the code from scratch, if there are complex equations and many nested layers of recursive functions involved, for example. Just try and understand a really complex regex, it's faster just writing a new. Using the code could be fine if it's well written, then just change a variable and anything could break. Then add to it that mods are using code injections, why would devs use code injections? Good ideas on the other hand, those can have great value, and you don't need coding skills to have good ideas. So, if you have awesome ideas, just keep them to yourself and let everyone suffer. I'd never obfuscate code, unless for the art of obfuscating, or nerdy things like esoteric programming languages, I've written a few. On the contrary, I'd like to share more code, I'm just embarrassed it's so badly written, and don't have so much time to publish and keep it updated with fixes etc. It's a lot of work.

    Looking forward to the planter boxes for growing things underground! I want to echo a few comments with regard to planter boxes though- Please make them usable above ground and in buildings. This could allow for some rooftop gardening, for example. Very handy in a castle type deed for instance, when the castle takes up most of the deed building space. Also, please allow trees to be planted in planter boxes for ornamental purposes, though I would think trees would be kept to a smaller stage- mature at the very most.

    I'd keep in mind the potential for texture packs when working on the mod interface, it might encourage the folk that are currently working on such things to keep at it.~ What about mushrooms? If chlorophyll can breathe in mines, could you add mushroom farming to the game? saprophytes don't need light 🍄

    I have grinded up skills on a PvE server for years. Then suddenly, Lo and Behold, there finally comes a new PvE server, but Im not able to go there with my skills and do PvE! I have to skill up again. No thank you. Also, why must every PvE thing in wurm require large groups of players? Rifts, unique hunts and Jackal all seem like they were lazily designed. "Lets just make one big thing and let everybody come there" What I want is a hunting server on the Freedom cluster. No travel restrictions. Some new mob group mechanics so you have to fight several mobs at a time. Higher spawn chance of champ/green etc mobs. Let some mobs be able to wreck buildings/walls. If you want to spice things up, add in rare low count glimmer/addy/seryll veins.

    With a great amount of hard work from friends and allies, I would like to bring to your viewing pleasure (hopefully), the new Tap Dance Market. I realize that most trading is done via the Trade Chat or Market threads here on the forums; however, for those who care, a complete overhaul of Tap Dance Market has just been finished. Marble ramparts that can be climbed and are fully walkable. There are more market stalls then will ever be needed. Parking lawns with enchanted grass for animals. An 11 tile Archery range to accommodate all bow types. A small, basic, arena filled with slopes and sand. Two gazebo buildings to get out of the sun or to hold events in. Spacious Tavern with seating and five rooms for overnight stays. Highway extended to center of deed and all entrances are widened for travel. Large Cathedral aptly named the Celebration Hall. This Hall is not simply a church to hold sermons, but it doubles as a workshop fully stocked with forges and ovens. Point was made here to create not just a market again, but a gathering place for people. Celebration has amazing people and not enough events. Whether it's ever used, that's up to you - Image Album - Thanks go to my entire alliance. Could not have pulled this off without each and everyone of them. Jennyr, Branek, Lumi, Sweetsusie, Jonydowy, Atheline, Job, and Orlin. I want to also thank Pinkfloyd for logs and Waarokku for the chats and materials. Celebration has an amazing crowd of people.

    Naturally, I'm talking about reading others' code, if it wasn't apparent. Reading my own code is of course like reading my own thoughts, but everyone thinks differently. Here, take this school book example of the LZW algorithm: http://homepages.inf.ed.ac.uk/rbf/BOOKS/PHILLIPS/cips2edsrc/LZW.C It's well documented, and very well written classic C code. I've made a few implementations of LZW in a few different languages, and find it easier to just grasp the concept of the algorithm and write the code from scratch, than to edit parts of the original code, but perhaps that's just me.

    Before one start something one shall think of benefits for at least trying it and here are reasons why I started to play Jackal as I seen it at very beginning : 1. Points redeemed for cool items ( skins to make such items ). 2. You end up with very strong or stronger character that will have higher skills. 3. It is new exciting adventure, fun and opportunity to enjoy exotic hunting grounds. 4. You meet new cool people, make new friends and life on Jackal everything but boring LOL After I tried this so called exotic hunting adventure and it is 3-d month already as Jackal launched, lets see if there are any reasons left for me to stay to the end and how to fix some of disappointments ? 🧐 1. Jackal Points for cool items . Points not easy to get as you only get those from beacons hunts which you can't do solo and it is not easy to catch up with group as there are no specific plans or times set and all hunts are spontaneous. Not mentioning those time zones differences. Allow us to gain points not only from beacons but maybe from killing native Jackal mobs, from creating certain items , from grinding skills ( which we already did before or for grinding something that we did not on freedom as old players, for new players set specific skill level like every 10 skill points you get 5 Jackal points or something like that ) etc Skins for cool items. Are you kidding, you think those few weapons skins worth of those points ? Very big disappointment in regards of our "rewards" . I will make separate posts just about skins that I think will encourage players to go to Jackal. 2. Higher skills in end. Hmmm I couldn't play that day when skill transfer been active but I heard a lot of complains regarding how unfair it is. OK I just hope this going to be fixed and we all get fair amount of skill points . Do not tell me I need to get higher skill than I have on freedom for this actually work, nope Jackal skill gain is not as fast as I expected and why the heck I need to do same skills over again if they will not be added to those I already have? Show me reason. The only reason I see it is to add some of those points to my existing skills on freedom even on Jackal they are lower ! 3. Exotic hunting grounds. Mobs re spawn totally broken, terrain is horrible as many already mentioned, we can't take any trophies or materials or items to freedom and we need to wait for next server restart just to go hunting again. Fix that on Jackal and as Griper suggested, create new exotic server on freedom for those who likes interesting hunting adventures. Reddragon also gave some decent recommendations regarding beacons, terrain and mob spawn. Listen to us players Devs , we are your clients and without us there will be no Wurm. 4. Meet cool people, make new friends and as Phennexion said " Opportunity to play with new people who you wouldnt normally play with". Sadly it is only positive reason that left from my big expectations. People and hope that something will be fixed and in end I will not be sorry that I wasted 6 month of my game life for something that not really exciting, not fair and actually very boring.👎 I also want to recommend to Devs, please be fair to us- reward all those who will last to the very end with at least some special trophy that we can bring to freedom, just like we get in end of some treasure hunts which lasts few hours only but not 6 month as Jackal and it is better to be really cool item/s ! 😉

    I've personally never asked for more free updates in any of my posts, and I find it rather rude and offensive even to make demands on indefinite updates where CC makes no profit. I've asked for ways to make WU profitable enough for updates, and made a few suggestions how it could be done. I know I can be pretty rough in my language and sometimes step on a few toes, but there's no ill will in it, only honest thoughts and feelings. I think it's more than fair, and a token of good will, to update WU with Ago's mod loader built into vanilla WU, and I think it will make a huge difference that servers can create client content without having to consider that a lot of players don't have the client mod loader installed. WU will become a framework for modders to build upon, but there's nothing wrong with that.

    ** BAH, I just realized the post above me was replying to a 4 year old thread >.< and the pertson they were "replying" to hasn't been around in years ,,, (Coldie's) building skill mod This mod adjusts how much carpentry skill is required to plan buildings, in the properties file is 1 simple value to adjust skillfactor this is a whole integer, so 2 or 3 or 4 etc. basically times your carp skill by this. So a 13x13 plan would normally require 52 wall + 169 tiles = 221, obviously impossible with default, make the skillfactor 6 and you could plan it at 37 skill.     I haven't played because: 1) already don't have enough time to do what I'd like on freedom 2) I don't want to have to start from zero again. I've not got enough play time as it is, worked hard to get my freedom toon to where it's at, and to start from zero would really just be too much for me.

    Oh boy, what a treat to unpack. It's such a delicious treat I won't resist. You used Google to find the definition of the term "conspiracy theory", and you grabbed that definition more or less like a a victorious flag for your cause. And guess what, that term was not even my point. That alone should be enough as an answer for your first paragraph, but I'll make it simpler for you: I just pointed out that Steam demanding Steam-only servers is a VERY possible scenario. Call it "conspiracy theory" or however you wish, but if you think Steam wouldn't want any game's servers accessible by Steam client ONLY, then you are too naive. And good luck trying to deny such a demand from Steam when your game is dying and you need Steam in an effort to survive. But whether that "conspiracy theory" is true or not was not even my point. If you bothered to actually read what I was saying, it should be clear I don't really care if Steam demands Steam-only servers or if it is a developers' decision. What I do care is this: Steam-ONLY servers have no purpose, and it is the last thing they should do if they wanted to save Freedom servers (which, in case you didn't notice, are dying already). Initially, the only answer I got was "the new servers will be Steam-only because we wish to keep them separated" - which is utterly ridiculous. Like I said already, they could have separate servers without Steam (they did it in the past), plus any veteran can join the new servers and the Steam-only crap won't stop them at all. Veterans can and WILL be there day one, taking over the market, milking the new players by selling stuff they made way faster than any newbie can possibly imagine. The net result will be exactly like what happened in Pristine and Release. The same cause leads to the same result. So the first answer I got as an explanation for Steam-ONLY is complete nonsense. You see that but you still defend that nonsense. Later on, and only after I insisted to get an answer that would make any sense, I go this: "non-Steam client would likely require some larger changes to the Freedom cluster". Desperate to find an argument, you grabbed that and accepted it to the letter in order to easily conclude it is a "perfectly sensible reason" for Steam-only servers "from a project management perspective". Yes, I am sure some changes will be needed. But guess what, they did it in the past (a fact you conveniently ignore), and I doubt the existence of Steam client would make it harder now. Even if it would, Steam client with totally independent servers should be their first aim, or else bye-bye Freedom servers. Instead, "Quality of Life" is the new big thing, and the essential part is second. Now, "QoL" is another story, but a short comment on this is necessary: "QoL" is a new trendy term in gaming, essentially meaning dumb-down gameplay so that it will be easily digested by the "average Joe" who uses Steam; let's hope developers don't mean it that way, but the context makes me doubting. But wait, there is more for you (because I don't think I will bother again, so you get it all now). The most absolutely ridiculous part of your post is where you call Steam "certainly influential". That's an euphemism pushed to the extreme. And you use Path of Exile and Planetside 2 as examples of games distributed via Steam "but have compatible standalone clients" (I won't look it up because I wasted quite some time already, so I'll take your word on that). First of all, those are completely different games; Path of Exile is not even an online game (it's single-player with extremely minimal mutliplayer interaction). And you use it as an example to prove what? That its distribution model can be compared with Wurm Online? Seriously? Second, I wonder how populated the independent servers for those two games are; but even if they have survived their independent servers while being on Steam, the fact TWO out of the countless Steam games managed to have such a distribution model doesn't mean it will happen with Wurm as well (especially when, let's face it, Wurm is dying). Furthermore, when I tried Path of Exile it was in late Beta version, it wasn't on Steam, it had a solid playerbase already, and it wasn't a dying game by any means. In other words, any negotiations with Steam would certainly be easier. To summarize, even it those two games managed to have both Steam-only and independent servers, that proves nothing..But you don't care about such details; you conveniently take it as the most possible scenario, because it fits your belief Steam is angelically "influential". The reason I wrote all that and didn't ignore you (as I do with another guy here) is because you can actually SEE the danger (in total contrast with that silly guy - I don't even remember his nickname). You are ready to defend a ridiculous argument saying "new servers are meant to be for new players, so we want them accessible by Steam client ONLY", despite the fact you can see Steam-only won't prevent old players to join. You know separate servers existed in the past without Steam, but you nooo, they will be a huge problem now, so that's a "perfectly sensible reason" for Steam-only. Those were the only answers I got, and you defend them both, despite the fact you can actually see things. We both want Wurm to survive, I guess (and still being Wurm), so the irony you used was unnecessary; but you used it, which is why my answer above is a little bit ironic as well - you get what you give. In any case, I doubt I will bother again, with you or anyone else ready to applaud and defend developers' decisions, blatantly attacking anyone who dares to object. Such blind applauders are one of the main reasons I usually avoid posting in this Forum. I tried to point out some potential dangers in the changes ahead. The reason I posted here is because I am an old player, and I like this game; I don't want to see Freedom servers dying. Steam-ONLY servers lead straight to Freedom's death, so I had to speak. But frankly, I had enough already. Feel free to keep applauding as much as you like; it won't help the game to the slightest, but so be it. As for me, I will return to my silence. I will just wait to see how Steam integration and "Quality of Life" goes, and will act accordingly. I'm really sorry to say that, but I have serious doubts it will will go well. I sincerely hope I'll be wrong.

    I have simmilar issue but with different floors of building, i park it at upper floor, disembark it and few minutes after its on ground floor visually although its actually still on top floor( i have to come down to select it and then climb up again to embark it using selected item ui), after embarking it it shows on top floor again. Also i noticed that reloging fix it and after relog it shows properly where you left it... Seems like same bug.
