Simple creation cooking actions can now be done with the crafting window interface like chopping, grinding, mincing, etc. Cooking tools will now take proper damage when used for actions and recipes. Harvests from bushes, fruit trees, trellises and nut trees can now result in the form of a rare. Bee smokers now give you a message to indicate when they are full as you are fueling them. You no longer need a kindling to light them and you can use a variety of fuels like oils, woodscraps, paper, etc. CCFP and temporary affinities are now available for non premium accounts. Refresh no longer clears CCFP percentages. The Creature Combat feature that increases difficulty of certain creatures on the Epic cluster has been disabled as of this update, an updated version will be released at a later date. Barrel racks! Can I ask for a taste option on food to speed up the process of recycling all the figuring out food bonuses then?

The latest update is REALLY good. It has added so much life to Wurm, I only feel sorry that the WU players have to wait(WU guys and girls it will be worth the wait). So many items added and skill paths(new and old). It's been so long since I grew a grain crop that I forgot I needed a scythe. I imagine there will be ongoing tweaks but hat off to the dev team, really really nice job. I look forward to the many youtube cooking shows ... someone please do a wurm/nigela cooking video series

I hear what you are saying but we are not hovering over our crops for a week cheering them on. Cursing at them, maybe but checking them daily. A new update with new crops was released and we are providing feedback based on our previous experience with growing crops. I will always entertain the caveat that we do not know what to expect from the new crops, my observations were on the "legacy" crops that I planted when I realized I was low on certain items via cooking update. As of this writing, I have harvested "legacy crops" from 12 of 100 tiles planted Tuesday and Wednesday of last week. The majority are in "halfway" status. So my best estimates are 10-14 days is the new "normal" not 3-5 days? Food for thought: I cant tell you how many times I have asked IT guys when something breaks, "What changed?". No matter how many times I asked I got the same "Nothing changed" response. When we went back and looked together, guess what we found? A change! The moral of my story is, ask again and ask for data to back that up. Also, I am also willing to test this in further depth should the developers wish it. (Time stamps, crop type, daily tending, on deed and off, etc.) I'm not going to complain and not offer to help fix a problem. Respectfully, Weatherwax

Seriously, this is complete nonsense. I've spent the last few days chopping, pressing and tasting my way to a spreadsheet detailing ingredients and the affinity bonuses I receive from meals. Now, they are suddenly all different. What the hell is with that? Devs, I loved your work on the update. It's complicated and I'm making my way through it slowly, but this is just about all I can take with the randomly generated hot garbage. I can understand each cook and each person having different affinities for meals. Fine. But are you telling me that I have to figure this stuff out each time the server resets? This is really unacceptable.

So after observing foraging/bot skill gains and chatting with more knowledgeable folks, it seems that if you forage for something on a tile and the timer runs completely but finds nothing, you get no skill. I propose that if the timer runs the full time you get a chance at a normal skill tick, just as if you were finding items. I really dislike having to forage all or bot all, I'd like to forage_veg or bot_spices for example, and only look for the items I need/want rather then spending time cleaning out my inventory of low ql items/junk. Right now the system points you to simply using a vacuum cleaner approach if you want to get skill out of foraging/botanizing. The change I propose will allow folks to look for the items they want and continue to gain skill even if there are none of the "specific" items on the tile they are searching. This will not affect tiles that are barren as it is now. Just a small qol feature.
  11. 2 points
You already get specific searches at 25? and i am 70 botanizing if i go looking for woads for paint, i can get over 100 an hour using Bot_resources,same goes for herbs on a grass tile and as you level you can get 1,2,3 and 4 attempts per grass tile as long as that grass tile has long grass growing.

That is good compromise indeed. Cooking is still superior to refresh. At the same time you can still live happily using refresh. Also you can use refresh even when you are away from home without worrying about resetting CCFP buffs to zero.

Oh.. how many coc charcoals i wasted.. either by combining in crafting window (which has the weirdest mechanic, i still can't figure out why sometimes it works and other times it doesn't, i tried with the enchant as first item, last, selected, etc, it's still random at times) or by forgetting to combine them and using the last piece. I would like such a change that prevents me from wasting it, but i don't mind the fact that i'm punished for not paying attention to what I am doing.. so .. +0.5 from me

or allow saddles on all animals, they are just not "visible" like on horses. Players can "pose" the animals and get the effect o pens without the ugly visuals ... and without the slum debris of fences that long outlast a deed. You can have a pasture with some saddled animals that pose in certain spots and a few others that wander freely to look more natural, but with less tendency to bunch on corners. You can already do this with horses, this just extends the ability to include sheep bison & cows. \

Our original proposition was because 99 nutrition AND the bonuses from CCFP were quite high, and clearly became yet another dominant strategy, in the interest of balance we played the two against each other to tie in together. Based on feedback, it was clear players wanted it separate, so we kept the 99 nutrition but made the payoff the resetting of CCFP. Since it has landed, CCFP has undergone some tweaking and balancing in itself (the body stamina thing for one), which means that having 99 nutrition along with maxed CCFP is not as unbalanced as it was in the original proposal. It's pretty clear that since players have gotten their hands on it, it makes a lot more sense and is a whole lot less confusing to many (although I understand it still being confusing to some). On top of this is also the fact that meditation refreshes and the ability to refresh other people raises issues within themselves. After discussion with the dev team about all of this we raised a few possibilities, but none as simple as allowing refresh to not reduce CCFP, so that's what we'll be going ahead with in an update planned for tomorrow, refresh will perform all the previous functionality and not reset CCFP. We'll also be boosting nutrition from eating hot meals and some cold (there's similar bonuses for things that should be cold, no one likes a hot salad) to hit 99 nutrition as well. TL;DR Since the CCFP system is tweaked down in its bonuses, refresh will be changed to not reset it in the next update. Hot food and some cold foods will now allow hitting 99 nutrition much more easily so you don't lose out by not refreshing.

Hiho, with more uses for paper, papyrus, pens and dye it would be nice to have a suitable furniture. The smallest setup for all the stuff needed is either a small crate/bsb with a container for pottery jars/flasks for ink and a pen next to it or a cart with anything in it. The organization of containers like the larder has would be great for it. A compartment for storing paper in that works like a crate/bsb and holds 20-50 pieces of paper or wax seal resources. A inkpot for dye that works like a container for small amounts of dye like 0.5kg. Some drawers for pens, written recipes and other items for fine crafts. Large enough to store some items in it but small enough to be reasonable. Similar to small chests. It could also be used for the tailoring professions or other skills that don't need a heatsource. It could look similar to this.

A warning when imping with the last bit of enchanted material or inability to do so would be a nice change to accompany recent forbidding to bin enchanted mats. + maybe some more obvious mechanism of combining them I've just wasted my 4th CoC shard in 1 week.

It is interesting actually: according to Wurm rules Lockpicking A ) Lockpicking anything that does not belong to you is not permitted. Punishment: You may be warned, or banned based on the situation. If you pick the lock of a gate, you are breaking the rules, but if you bash down that gate, that is perfectly fine.

Wurm is Wurm. You love it and stay or you hate it and stay. Sometimes you love to hate it. Other times you hate to love it. Sometimes you praise it. Sometimes you curse it. You usually do both while grinding out some skill. Generally, you play it or you don't. You come, stay, and play for years or you come, play and leave in hours. It doesn't offer much of a middle ground from my experience and I am quite okay with that. Sure, it might take years for a casual to hit "level cap" on a single "level" instead of burning through the only new content you get this year in 2 days but if you want two day end-game, there are other games for that. Me? I love to hate Wurm. That's what I am here. I'll beat this damn thing one day! *shakes fist*

A locked beehive can be picked up by anyone, they need to be planted. As a friend of mine just tested with one of Tich's hives. Tich, plant your beehive!

TBH I would love to see lock-picking revamped into the new salvage system but I do not see that happening. (IE all carts, wagons, and boats become lock pick-able at 90+ damage) But I doubt they would even with some kind of oversight system that saved the logs of all salvages for review.

I have a Vive, and a few others of us that work on Wurm also have Vives - I haven't started anything yet, but it is on my radar for the future. I'm mostly waiting for the proper OpenVR support in LWJGL 3 (and we have to switch over to LWJGL3 first too). Haven't really thought about adapting it for room scale yet, my first goal will likely be to get a seated experience working with current keyboard and mouse controls. The main problem I see with adapting it for room scale would be the UI - which if you've seen the UI code in the client, you know it's a bit of a task fixing that up for any reason, let alone VR. Getting around the animation issue shouldn't be a problem, if first person view is an issue with VR I could see us moving the VR view to a 3rd person view of your character.
