  1. What about cavalier helms, who doesn't want a wolf hat that actually protects like a great helm and of course -1 because I have some and want them to be unique ---Edit--- If the challenge reward ones were made fantastic and impable then +1 otherwise those of us who worked for our challenge rewards get nothing.
  2. Hypothetically speaking using neural networks in wurm could be interesting to determine optimal skillgain techniques and to accurately model skillgain over time. For example you could put the ai in a mine with several pickaxes of varying qualities and one of each vein and get it to work out which pick and vein combination leads to optimal skillgain at different levels of mining, you could then further develop it to improve and repair the pickaxe to keep it within the optimal quality range, it would still be a bot and not a true ai but there is some learning to it.
  3. I have seen 2 common attitudes from newer players to wurm on freedom: Buy some items at the start and go out get 70 fs build their house and/or deed sit down and say right what else. Try to be self sufficient or work their way onto the market and quickly realize that making money is very hard since the trade of unenchanted items, even at 90ql, is uncommon or they just burn out grinding ws. The coins from killing are a nice idea but often give only a small amount. another thing is how are new players supposed to know how to make money in the game, if you come from any other game with a crafting style system you would assume that there is a market for items and as such becoming a crafter and trader would be a sensible profession but honestly it is not. The only way new players can make money is foraging and bulk. As far as people who feel they have finished the game, maybe try adding some high level pve content. It doesn't have to have expensive drops like uniques just something to do since surviving is easy after a few weeks of playing and there is nothing particularly hard to kill solo except the odd champ troll, sea serpent or avatar and people seem to get mad when you kill avatars since it breaks the mission. Finally I think people want another challenge too just as a short break to go have a laugh get some kills and mess around, don't really think it has an impact on people leaving hugely but it can help bring back and bring in new players.
  4. 1) free rarity for everything .. just no 2) this would be so broken for mining and similar skillgain 3) see (1) 4) not actually possible but if it was its just op
  5. It would sadden me to have to do all my imping in some vyn house that looks odd rather than my house which I think looks nice.
  6. Congratulations that is an awesome sword, would be interesting to see what it actually went for at auction.
  7. GMs are appointed by staff and have to answer to the staff if they do something wrong, it may not be a perfect system but you can't just buy gm for 1500 euros like this voting system would mean. You can get a prem account for about 3s so say 500 accounts should do it. Maybe add 20 e for panfilling to get mind logic -1
  8. On pvp most people have the maximum amount of deed guards adding more strong guards would be a balance issue. Captains/Lieutenants spawn to stop people from conquering as easily not really needed for pve. Towers are a kingdom entity I am against making it so people can't use certain towers because the guy who made them is high skill. All the food/gold/water ect requirements sound like a lot of coding for a feature which would not be used much on pve as it is a pain to maintain. If you want a bonus to guards surely it would be better to have it so guards from towers over 70 ql on deed can't have their gear taken off by anyone in kingdom, and not be allowed to be attacked by players who aren't members of the deed.
  9. The one who can't spell and didn't quite work out what a university is?
  10. Meditation isn't as bad to grind as everyone seems to even on freedom you can hit 70 meditation before the questions all come up if you just get 5+ attempts in per day. I also don't see why converting kingdom should reset it.
  11. I know its a big ask but any chance of an average of each skill or similar, or even just a page listing all public characters to make data mining possible, as it stands the only lists are the top 50 so for any of us who like to produce silly statistics.
  12. +1 nice mockup and would be very nice especially for newer players, and for everyone who already has their way they like to grind they can keep using the old way
  13. +1 Can't see why you shouldn't be able to sell at least sleeping powders for less than 5s on merchants since no one in their right mind will pay that much for them.
  14. On Pristine Tree was on Hammer's Rest Name: Word of Nathan Creator: System Started: 01/07/15 04:38 Completed: 01/07/15 04:38 Restartable: No Description: Nathan asks you to cut down the Cherry tree south of Shadowbay. It is located in the north regions in Freedom Isles.
  15. I recently completed to cut down a cherry tree "south of Shadowbay" It was on an adjacent deed 10 tiles south, It would seem if deeds have the minimum perimeter and are adjacent the tree selected can be on another deed. It means the mission often cannot be completed.
  16. My meditation ticks haven't changed for a couple of months other than the usual decrease with skill
  17. Why not just give them to all your alts and make them form a giant tortoise
  18. It would be funny but probably very annoying for newer players
  19. Assuming the top horse shoe has 97 woa/botd cod to webbrar for buyout please
  20. Sounds like someone needs to make a bridge
  21. Challenge was perfect proof of what this does to resources if not managed carefully, people would fell entire forests for body stats, or just make absurdly large mines because why not it still gave skill, and imping skills became silly to grind making thousands of arrow heads to get weaponsmithing. I do think it would be nice to use high ql tools to get high skillgain but cannot see a sensible way of achieving this currently other than a random chance for skill ticks which would most likely just make gaining mining skill slower Also fun fact: Channeling uses this system too
  22. This one time Igot mad at my horse for being slow and killed it ... no regreatz
  23. I like the idea of riding bison but considering in game they run from players they would have to be tamed. As far as balance goes they would have to be rather slow for 2 reasons: 1) they are very tough so would be far too strong in pvp if they could go fast, 2) they are sooooooooooooooooooo common having horses as a creature that take some time to find is nice.
