Currently taming does not have too much use in PvE and pets don't really do much for us. So as your taming level increases you can teach animals tricks, essentially non-genetic traits that cannot be passed down. To teach these traits has a price, namely in loyalty, each teach attempt drains a certain amount of loyalty and a difficulty check is made against the player's taming skill. If it fails the loyalty is lost and nothing happens, if it passes the creature learns the trick. A couple of examples being: Herd : Allows the creatures to lead up to 3 passive creatures. Wolves (40 loyalty), Mountain Lions (40 loyalty), Dogs (30 loyalty) and Bears (50 loyalty) can learn. Difficulty : 40 Swimming : Allows the creature to swim. Small creatures (30 loyalty), medium creatures (60 loyalty), large creatures (80 loyalty). Difficulty : 30/50/70 Domesticated : Creature will be passive, even if untamed. (90 loyalty). Difficulty 60.

With a great amount of hard work from friends and allies, I would like to bring to your viewing pleasure (hopefully), the new Tap Dance Market. I realize that most trading is done via the Trade Chat or Market threads here on the forums; however, for those who care, a complete overhaul of Tap Dance Market has just been finished. Marble ramparts that can be climbed and are fully walkable. There are more market stalls then will ever be needed. Parking lawns with enchanted grass for animals. An 11 tile Archery range to accommodate all bow types. A small, basic, arena filled with slopes and sand. Two gazebo buildings to get out of the sun or to hold events in. Spacious Tavern with seating and five rooms for overnight stays. Highway extended to center of deed and all entrances are widened for travel. Large Cathedral aptly named the Celebration Hall. This Hall is not simply a church to hold sermons, but it doubles as a workshop fully stocked with forges and ovens. Point was made here to create not just a market again, but a gathering place for people. Celebration has amazing people and not enough events. So The Lord of The rings Online is having music festivals all summer long. They're great fun and they would fit this game even more! We could have bands perform at our impalongs, people dancing (animate that emote please :P) and cheering along. It gives players a new thing to do and crafters new instruments to make. It could even be a new subskill for carpentry, making and tuning instruments. I know that it would be a lot of work to implement something like this but I think that it would be worth it and with the new update schedule it should be possible I suppose. We could use more fun-features in this game and this would be one.

Although not medieval, but meh. Simply put, the weather is decided by some algorithmic RNG model making gradual changes to the weather over time. The suggestion is to delay the actual weather 8-10 hours, and letting the RNG roll be the basis of a weather forecast of the weather we will experience 8-10 hours from now. A command like /forecast will give us the desired info. However, to spice things up, the /forecast will only give an accurate weather prediction 50% of the time, will give moderately incorrect weather prediction 30% of the time, and wildly incorrect 20% of the time. Edit: a spell has been suggested, that could work too. Non-priest could then ask in Freedom chat to hear if someone knows what the weather forecast is for today.

The North East Xanadu Alliance (NEXA) is hosting its first community-wide event on November 10 - 12, 2017, the Summerholt Fall Festival. NEXA is based out of Summerholt on Xanadu, and many events are planned in the area and at the nearby Amish Estates, the NEXA Market and Sanctuary, and Amish Farms. Map of Area: While we will have many people offering imps and other specialty items, the main purpose of the event is to host a number of fun carnival-style events. These games are free and open to all members of the Wurm Online community. The specifics (dates, times, locations) of the games are still in planning and will be released soon. As a preview, we will include: Sailboat circuit races, A horse race (the “Summerholt 5000”), Fishing contests, A horse breeding contest, A pie-making contest, Musical chairs, And everyone’s favorite “Needle in the Haystack”. We feel that the next best thing to going to an impalong event is hosting an event ourselves. Wait, is this an impalong? Also we have several mines which any villager have access to. When we expand our village we create areas for the members to build their houses and also crafting halls. You probably came here because you're looking for an active community of great people. You've found them! Who we are: Here at Aranea we use discipline and organization to have fun together and establish a name for ourselves throughout the realm. We're more than just a village - we aim to become the tightest group of players because we believe it's the only way to achieve the greatness we aim for! We try to keep everyone occupied within their own professions so that we're all like one organism, and we use a system of ranks within the community to reward the ones showing their determination. Don't worry if you don't like strict rules and regulations - you can still have fun with us! As we understand some have less time than others we don't let it come in the way of free and fun playtime or become a reason of prejudice. The main thing Aranea is about is helping one another, filling in the blanks where needed, making us an efficient machine. All new, returning and veteran players are helped in the way of new equipment and after a short period of initiation and testing how much of themselves they could dedicate long-term - we set them up with their own piece of land. How we work: We use a system of ranks to give people a sense of appreciation and self-improvement. The community is ran by a council consisting of the Grandmaster, the Henchman and a few Chancellors. The Council is the part of the community that establishes new laws, systems and generally tries to improve our life standard and establish order. All the other players become Recruits right after the initiation until they choose their profession and their own path. They will be provided with appropriate tools and workspace. It is always an option to raise in the ranks of Aranea and possibly become a Chancellor. That doesn't mean that the higher ranks keep their secrets or are above the rest. We are all important in Aranea. It should not be forgotten that every rank, from Recruit to the Grandmaster is an important military asset. Everyone will in time be equipped with armor and weaponry of choice and be free to hunt and join battle parties. Secondly, if the recruit passes the "determination test" they will be invited into the ranks of our community and become one of us. From now on he will be allowed to pick his profession in order to fill a blank in the team and make it stronger or become a "lone wolf" and be free from the weight of responsibilities on their shoulders. this is nothing big just a small but fun thing i would like to see is being able to pet your animals :} it would be cute and fun and maybe create a stronger bond between you? i would love to be able to pet my horses

A rather interesting thought just occurred to me and is assuming all mobs get that free random affinity but... What if, whenever you had an animal tamed, you had access to its affinity? As soon as it goes untame you lose that affinity. Essentially meaning that if your pet had a carpentry affinity you get one too. Realism : Animals often inspire us in unusual ways

We are working hard, but it dont feels like working, cause we chat nice together and have a lot of fun – and there is nothing better as looking back after a while and see the work that has been done. Also most terraforming is done between 20.00 and 22:00 o`clock - and no one is responsible to help, especially not every evening. What we are looking for? If you are a new or older player with adult behaviour and you really like Wurm – then you are welcome. It would be very nice, if you would help as a bit with the work – so we trying to help you to answer your questions, a place to live (your own house) and other nice goodies like mine-using and horses to use – but we are living at a building site and there is a lot of work, that there once will be a wonderful village. Unser Grundstücksbesitzer Galadhel hat diese Vision eines flachen Grundstücks und einem großen / großartigen Dorf - so sind wir zur Zeit noch viel am terraformen - und das Grundstück ist wirklich groß. Wir haben Zeit für unsere eigenen Dinge - aber Tonnen von Dreck müssen bewegt und jede Menge Fels muss mit Oberflächen-Mining runtergemined werden. Wir arbeiten hart, aber es fühlt sich nicht so an, weil wir jeden Abend einen netten Chat am laufen haben und viel Spaß haben - und es gibt nichts besseres als nach einer Weile zurückzuschauen und die ganze erledigte Arbeit zu sehen. Die meiste Terraforming-Arbeit erledigen wir so zwischen 20 und 22 Uhr, und keiner ist verpflichtet zu helfen, schon gar nicht jeden Abend. Wonach halten wir Ausschau? Wenn du ein neuer Spieler oder alter Hase bist - mit erwachsenem Verhalten und mit Spaß am Spiel - dann bist du willkommen. Es wäre natürlich super, wenn du uns bei der Arbeit helfen könntest - wir versuchen deine Fragen zu beantworten, geben dir einen Platz zum leben (du kannst dein eigenes Haus auf dem Deed bauen) und andere schöne Dinge wie Minen-Benutzung und Pferde - jedoch leben wir zur Zeit noch auf einer Baustelle, und da ist viel Arbeit, damit später mal ein wunderschönes Dorf entsteht. Greetings, I plan on setting up a exquisite treasure hunt type game around the Summerholt area and beyond ! The Summerholt Community Alliance has a market right next to Summerholt starting Deed which shall be the starting point. Update: I will be parking alts and having friends and family park there alts or mains in there secret hidden spots. . Treasure Hunters will be required to solve a hint / clue to there whereabouts and locate said name of the alts / persons name given. ( clues will be in the form of an AFK message ) once you message said person you will receive your 1st clue.automatically via afk message. no need to write down clues just message the name your given to refresh your memory of the clue at any time if you forget anything. once you locate that person you will open trade to receive your 1st item needed to claim rewards / treasure the more items collected via finding more people the better the rewards when you decide to turn in or quit the hunt, ( quality controlled ) once all toons / persons have been found and all items received you will be required to bring all the items to me @ the starting point and trade for your rewards. I will then confirm the quality and name of all items which were handed out once you trade with me. you may turn in items at any time if you have to quit the game / treasure hunt. however your name will be excluded from any future rewards but you will at least get a reward for turning in any items you earned during the hunt. ( Each item will be tagged with the name of the next person you have to message for your next clue which will be the person you have to find next. ) Quality Control Examples : the quality for example Large Nail 4.56 QL or another example 99.22 quality onions / etc these are just examples not items I will be handing out this will prevent people from sharing the item/s needed for reward/s and trying to turn in item needed for reward. and harder to duplicate the quality's for anyone attempting to take a short cut etc (subject to be adjusted and minor changes as any more ideas come to mind etc please stay tuned for updates ( there will be a very nice few days advance before this is started to give everyone plenty of time to prepare ) ( a special prize ( DOOR PRIZE ) will be handed out after the event has ended ) how do you get the door prize? Hello I has had a big problem with wurm and I am leaving. My deed has over 100 silva on it include Hota's , 4 complete sets of CoA items 99QL resources 5 speed horses etc. While trying to buy silver through wurm Xsolla took over £300 out of my account I have had to go through a thorough chat system a Live chat system and a 2 hour phone call to TSB's Security Fraud Department. I don't blame wurm I blame Xsolla im cutting my losses Deleting 4 chars with over 4 years of Experience. Now to the bit u really want 2 know: Event: * Quitting looters run * As of the events that made me realise how un-safe Xsolla payment companies are ive moved all items from 4 deed's onto 1 deed the chars with years of experience and skills will fade into the dust so if u are/was friends im sorry. (Everbound) (The Ranger) (Haullz) and my secret pvp alt I tried so hard to keep un-identified (Lyssa) Ok heres how the event works its gona work in 2 hours From Now! the deed on F9 xanadu will disband everything is up for grabs (Edit: 1:30am GMT perms get changed (1 hour from now) - this stops some spoiler Deeding the place and ending the fun. All items that are non collusion could possibly be a loot spot. can u walk through it? take a look. these are as follows: Full sets of 80+ tools most with Coc Woa and 4x spell weapons overall worth about 50silver worth. Sets of 80+ql armor and plate sets. Hota statues (inc lady of the lake worth 30s) and many more items and full bsb's + JK banners Rare items, 90ql lamps and rare 95ql lantern's. 5 speed horses , 1 x corbita , 1 x sailboat. 1 x JK wagon and small chests with the account's Bank balance spread within. overall there is 1 gold at least worth of items for loots. Now when the Deed drops its every man for himself don't ask me for stuff of pm me for stuff. its as if a huge deed falls and the player has already gone the only difference is ill be Recording it for Youtube lol. 2 hours from now.. time is a Ticking...
