  1. I am not sure if Wurm Online has native support for SLI or not. However, I discovered that the following settings in NVIDIA Profile Inspector seem to work. I verified with GPU-Z that the load is being spread across both of my NVIDIA GTX 970s as they both have around 50% GPU Load. What you need to do is create a profile named "Wurm Online" and find your j2plauncher.exe file from Java since this is what the game uses and add it to the new profile. Once you apply these settings, you can restart the Wurm client and verify with GPU-Z that the load is being spread across both video cards. It works for me! Keep in mind, you need to select the number of GPUs to use in SLI rendering mode. I only have two (one GPU per card) but some cards have dual GPUs, etc.
  2. Hey all. Some of you might remember me as the guy behind southwindmarket.com. It was a fun little project of mine and it had a good run. Lately I've had another idea that's been stewing in my head. I'd like to make a freight board for Wurm Online, where buyers and sellers can find someone to handle the delivery part. Wagoners seem nice but they come at a pretty high price and have their limitations. How would that work? Keep in mind I'm still at the brainstorming stage, and very open to suggestions. The sale part would happen as it already does: seller advertises his goods in trade chat/forums/etc. buyer contacts seller, you know the rest. Seller isn't very interested in delivering, buyer isn't very interested in picking it up, so one of them creates an entry on the load board (website) and "invites" the other party. Now they both enter their location (interactive maps?) and whoever pays for the shipping sets the amount he's offering, someone sees it, thinks it's a fair price and submits his interest But what if we're not all online at the same time? Well, I'd like to recommend this as standard practice: Seller puts the crates in a purpose-built building or boat (corbita?), sets permissions for shipper to embark as passenger and access hold (or equivalent for building, as long as he can take the stuff) and buyer sets the same permissions on his building or boat. Shipper gets to seller's place, loads the crates in his boat, travels to buyer's place and transfers them to his ship). Job done. How would the payment happen? It's up to you, either leave the money in one of the boats/buildings, or send a woodscrap when you've delivered the goods. And why would I trust the other parties involved? Well, trust and reputation have a big role in Wurm Online. I was thinking I'd make a reputation system (open to suggestions on that, I was thinking of a simple satisfaction rating in %) and a bio. If you're just starting out, put a link to your Wurm profile page and get people you know to vouch for you. Pretending you're someone else wouldn't work, as the permissions would be set for the person you're pretending to be. And what if I get ripped off? I'd actually like to have a chat with GMs about that. It'd be really cool if they'd agree to have one or more moderator accounts on the website to see proof of recent activity and assist players the same way they would assist if it had all been done in-game (I assume that's why "report theft" is green in /support?) What's in it for you? A fun project to work on. I don't plan to make any money out of it whatsoever. We'll see how much it costs (hosting / SSL certificate / domain name), I might put a donation button somewhere, but you'll never have to pay a dime. It's also my own way of trying to give back to the Wurm Online community. I think it would help the economy and make it easier to transport goods in Wurm for a living. I'm sure it would help new players get started with trading too. Thanks for taking the time to read this. I'm really looking forward to seeing what you guys think. The terms of service are a little vague "CodeClub approves of sharing User Generated Material based on video, music, sound or screenshots from our game Wurm Online." I mean, I could take a screenshot of the server maps, but it wouldn't really be "user generated".
  3. Even though a statue is secured it can still be loaded by anyone. Tested with a troll statue.

It's not really important and it's like that since ages now so we got used to it but if the action queue size it's just a number why is not loaded immediately on startup like all skills do as an example. One simple function Able to load row boats onto large ships Rowboat, Small Sailing Boat and Knarr -- 0 rowboats Loaded (too small) Corbita and Cog -- 1 Rowboat Loaded Caravel -- 2 or more Rowboats Loaded Especially for the caravel this would be a great addition because you wont have to park that big ass vessal but just moor it and grab the rowing boat row to shore.
  6. This mod for Ago's server Modloader lets you move altars (excludes huge altars) with the "Move" menu options. It also lets you load or unload them. The normal rules for loading apply. Options: Note; 1. Stone altars are always pushable. I tried to find out why with no success. 2. Influence is wonky. They only spread influence when on the ground and it appears this only updates on a server restart.   7. As topic. Load from one cargo hold to another, taking into account permissions of course. Embark one vehicle and open the hold of another. Right click > Load Cargo. Increase the action timer to compensate, maybe 15 seconds.
  8. Its a pain to load a bunch of crates into ship. I have to be literally standing on top of my crates to load them. Imho this should be fixed. At least I should see the crates which I'm loading. Please enlarge area from which I could load to some more tiles around the ships. Thanks!
  9. I have posted this idea in a few topics but i guess i will put it up as its own suggestion. I am suggesting that we be allowed to drag and drop crates to and from a cart/wagon to a boat and it triggers the load timer but transfers the crate over instead of making us unload only to have to load them again. Just think of it no more unload-disembark-embark (hope you put them in the right spot) then load them up. With the crate transfer you could just open your boats inventory drag and drop your crates and wait for the load timers to transfer them over then go back and get more. It is already in the game that you can drag and drop the crate but you get this error.. [07:19:25] You can only drop the large crate. I think this would take very little work to implement since most of this idea we can already do but it is blocked with the above message. I can't see anything game breaking about it and It would also open up the possibility to implement a new storage container that we can use to hold crates in a more organised manner using this same crate transfer suggestion to load them into that storage container. Edit: While they are working on permissions maybe the boat, wagon and cart can have a new load/unload setting added in that makes it easy to allow someone to load/unload making the idea work even better.
  10. Been getting this of late when attempting to load the test client launcher. test_graphics.jar gets stuck at 0% Update failed!   11. Like the title says i would like to see a key bind for LOAD/UNLOAD or LOAD_CARGO/UNLOAD_CARGO added in. Also while we are here talking about loading things how about adding in that when we drag crates to and from carts/wagons to a ship it starts a load timer and transfers the cargo over saving all the unnecessary actions of unloading only to have to load it back up again.
  12. I love putting 300 logs in a crate, or even support beams. Crates can be loaded and unloaded full. Awesome for transporting trade goods. What I wish we had was a crate like loadable storage that was designed for small stuff, like veggies and lumps, but would hold significantly more than crates will. Seems silly that I can only fit 300 tiny lumps of silver in a giant crate, capable of holding 300 massive logs. Yes, we can stuff lumps in satchels and satchels in packs and packs in rafts and get to some decent quantities, but then they are all very perishable. What if we make a special crate, or at the very least, allow crates to hold a few thousand tiny bits that would still be a fraction of the volume of 300 logs. Canal builders would be ever so grateful
  13. As braziers , statues and anything else stone is loadable - Please allow the loading of pillars, even if it is only on deeds even if it is only the creator - just an option to load would be much appreciated.
  14. When you set permissions to allow loading in the deed settings it does not override the pickup so it makes you have to set both load and pickup to load crates.
  15. I often do cleanup rounds but some kinds of mobs cannot be placed in the rafts and need to be in the inventory. I am not sure how this works but I think it is the hardened and perhaps some other kind. It does not make sense that you could place a troll body into a raft but not a cavebug or cat body. They also all weigh the same, so should have the same volume? Is it possible to change this so all mob bodies can be loaded into the rafts? Thanks.
  16. Hi all, Since the recent update I found myself a few times searching the wiki for 'load' or similar and not finding what I was looking for. I took the liberty of creating a wiki page for that, and have scoured the forums here to find some info on the Load Cargo function to add to that page. I have marked it as a stub as it is by no means complete and some parts could be inaccurate. It would be great if anyone who has verified information about this function please add to the wiki or post here in this thread for update. This is a great new function and it will be good for all of us to document the possibilities. Cheers, Andobi

I have a lot of ideas for ships, tell me what you think: We should be able to move around in the ship instead of just being fixed in place behind the helm or standing as crew, you should also be able to use a gangplank to load carts catapults and another addition idea cannons, it would also be cool if the ship hand multiple floors where you can have deck, bedrooms etc and cargo hold, there should also be ship v ship combat but requires at least two crew including the commander, these are just a few but the only decent ones.
