  9. +1 this and the whole improving of breeding altogether, we need it. Atm the timers on breeding seem okay, it's just.. The variety lacks.
  10. Okay yeah, might be right, the 3 hour cycle would be a little to often, but I based in on few quick actions. Of course with a longer period the goals would be bigger / harder. But, generally yeah, a some what "daily goal" kinda thing.
  11. If someone even remotely mentions "Cash shop" or anything relative, people are going to instantly think of Pay-to-win. And no, i'm not gonna pay 5€ for a 5% increase in a skill (which I would imagine the price being, considering all the other games i've seen cash shops in). If this were to ever happen I wouldn't consider Wurm or its team a "player driven community" anymore, more like a "lets rob all the stupid people of all their money", a prime example of this: Rappelz or Gpotato in general. TL;DR: Any cash shop / real money purchasable items / buffs / anything idea would ruin the game and its principals altogether, the coins I can deal with as its being balanced with people buing more silvers into the game and deeds taking them out.
  12. One word, needles, as they take very little to no iron to craft or improve. Needles have taken me a good 30 skill points, from 15 (when I realized it) to 45 (Where i'm at now) and will still continue with those. Imping them that is. Obviously this tactic works with any other improvable tool / weapon. My approach is simple, yet efficient. Place all the necessary tools on the tools belt, for water you wanna have small barrel filled and then that water from inside dragged to the tool belt. Make somewhere around 20-50 needles, what ever suits you best. Choose a tool, and imp all the needles that require that at once, then move on to the next tool (which I usually pick from what ever the last needle needs to improve, for fun ) Rinse and repeat.
  13. I believe that can already be achieved by just talking to the people. Although, I would indeed suggest a "to-do-list" feature to villages, like a "text board" or something, that you could list materials and how much of each, and maybe what is each used for. And then the amount of materials to go, would go down as you dump the stuff inside containers / bins in your town, inside the village area (not perimeter).
  14. This is good, and kinda aims where I aimed with my post, excluding the master class. I personally play Wurm because there is nothing capping anything that I do, now if something can go higher than others, it takes away slightly that "sandbox" feel to the game. Then again, if you want to have that mastery feel, you could somewhat follow Ultima Online (yet again) and its foot prints, by combining best of both worlds: "Ancient scrolls" or "Ancient literature" that increase your QL cap that you can create. Thus still keeping the sandbox feeling by not masterizing(how do you spell that?) in one thing for a life time, but for all of them over time and dedication. And the "buffs" or "enhancements" that you get, don't have to be so literal, they will have the effect, but in a way that fits wurm and its era. The prefix / suffix system on the names, like "Fleet Huge Axe", which would have a slightly reduced swing timer.

  16. Don't we all get those times that when you just feel like there is nothing to do, or that you have done something too much and need some change? Not all obviously, but I figure some of us might. Thus, I (carefully) suggest that we add a "chore" -list or a system. Each Wurm day, players are generated a list of chores that you can work around your own village / home, which could be anything from hunting a mountain lion, to mining and smelting a few lumps of a specific ore, to farming some wemp for rope making. Something small and simple, to rich up the wurmian lives. Every player gets a different list. Resetting every Wurm morning, maybe on sunrise? On the rewarding side, I didn't really think of anything, not sure if there even needs to be anything. I'd love to have some decent conversation, throw some ideas back and forth.
  17. It's not too big of a deal code-wise. Check the amount of animals in the area, tune down the amount of sounds generated, problem solved. On the idea, yeah its a good idea. It would certainly make my hunting trips more worth while. Going dark in the forest, generally not seeing anything will make you miss animals (No, i'm not tuning up my contrast). Now it's just me trying to mouseover all over the place, hopefully to catch something. Like fishing without a bait.

While your grooming brush is active, you see the number of traits in total, for example while mouseovering with the grooming brush active: Goldenbouncer (5), would mean a 5 trait horse. Then if you push down alt or like ctrl, it would show abbreviated traits instead of the amount, for example: Goldenbouncer (SL, KH, OA, UM, CS). (I randomly picked abbreviations) Skill-wise, I would say 45-50 would be enough. In general a good idea and well worth to put on the to-do-list.

  21. No, just absolutely no. Wurm is (hopefully) not gonna turn to another pay-to-win catastrophy, just no. Don't even think about adding cash shop, if that happens, i'm out and will not spend another dime on the premiums. On the actual idea though, yeah it has some potential. Like Ultima Online had, special effects. Can not remember them exactly, but there were some and they had prefixes or suffixes to the weapons original name (Which World of Warcraft then further improved the concept and it works to a certain point). What I would like to see is, I would like to see is, some sort of D&D stuff, like "Additional chance to hit fire / ice / [element] damage", which kinda is already is in the game via enchants, but not everyone has access to those. Or stuff like, has a chance of a double hit, or maybe reduce the swing timer a bit. On tools, maybe something like, reduce your next action timer by a bit, maybe improve the QL of the target, or proc an additional ore or a bigger ore while mining, for example. In general i'd like boots to get the increase movement speed stat, gloves to reduce swing timer, like as an additional stat (an enchant if you will). It would only as well be logical (You do walk / run faster in certain terrains with certain types of shoes, has been tested and proven). And like during the winter, if you run bare feet your feet get cold and you slow down. But i'm getting a head of myself, i'll let someone else get me another idea burst and continue from there. TL;DR: I'd like to see some kind of improvement and diversity (well chose word by OP) to the somewhat simple equipments.
