How different would Wurm be, if you could choose merely 1 item to always keep on death, after you've outgrown your newbie gear and used up your mirror? 1 thing that your Wurmian life would not be worth living without? Your 'personal artifact' that acts as a Wurmian incarnation of a soul-vault. Maybe it's that fantastic helm you just managed to imp. Maybe it's a sentimental keepsake such as a Christmas present from a dear friend. Maybe it's something that your 'personal look' could simply not be complete without, in your eyes. If it can fit in your inventory, if you consider it irreplaceable, and if you're prepared to make it non-tradable, I say it would be a fantastic add-on feature for your account. And how about a little artifact-style bonus of functionality, just to sweeten the pot for those who are very practical souls? Every sleep-powder takes up 1 inventory space. Thus, after death, you must first replace the container used to store those no-drop items. In some rare cases, this mechanic can even lead to an 'overflow bug'. Even the 'safest' account can die to a glitch. But what if soul-binding your nominated item added a permanent container to your inventory, that only sleep-powder could fit in? With an icon matching your item, of course. Your soul-stamp of custom identity. After all, where else would you stash something as abstract and intangible as 'sleep powder'? I truly shiver at the thought of archaeology being extended, to be able to restore an unbound, personal artifact of an account that, as archaeology implies, probably has some morbid reason for becoming 'unbound'. I'm not sure whether finding such a thing would be a blessing or a curse. Perhaps such things truly belong in mausoleums, inhabited only by their sleeping spirit. On display as the missing link between players and hired spirits, and giving a boost to deed guardians by their presence. Finally, to those who may perhaps feel that this dilutes the purity of PvP mechanics: We're all human. I feel that having the option of just 1 personal item you cannot lose, could make enough difference to the morale of the individual, that it would be worth the frustration of never being able to separate them from it. -

In my travels around Indy I occasionally come across discarded piles of fragments that are in the high 70's, 80's and even 90's. I have archaeology 90 and use a mid range trowel (50 - 60 ql) yet I don't seem to get very many fragments that are even up to the level of my trowel. What is the trick (if there is any) to consistently getting these high ql fragments?

I haven't been able to keep up with this, so consider it closed temporarily. Many items can be COD'd at a cost of 1c from a fast mailbox (1i for recipes) each or picked up from O14 Release by arrangement. Delivery is possibly to Southern PVE servers for larger orders. I am using an 89.95ql rare chisel with WoA 75 on some unidentified archaeology fragments to clean them. I am able to queue 6 items - so I can use the chisel on a stack of 7 fragments before stopping. I have a fast chisel and so the first action in the queue is always 2.9 seconds. This first action does not increment the 'Actions Performed' achievement in the Achievements window. For example I process a stack of 7 fragments all successfully but the Achievements window only registers 6 more actions on the 'Actions Performed' Achievement.

Some slight adjustments and suggestions: 1. "chisel blade" be renamed to "stone chisel blade" so that when sorting it will be next to stone chisel fragments. 2. "long sword blade fragment" be renamed "longsword blade fragment", to be in sync with "longsword fragments" 3. "ore, tin fragment" not be an "unidentified metal fragment", but just an unidentified fragment like the rest of the ore fragments. 4. rename all lumps and ores as follows: "lump fragment, iron/copper/etc x/3" rather than "lump fragment x/3, iron/copper/etc" - So that when sorting them all the lumps/ores of the same metal are together rather than the singles (1/3) and the multiples (2/3) being listed separately as currently. - In fact, all archaeology items should be renamed, "xxx, alloy, x/3" or "xxx, metal, x/3" for the sake of consistency. 5. Make it possible to find fragments on an old deed that has been sanded over, i.e. so that it is possible to find fragments on sand tiles. 6. Improve the graphics of the statues, which atm are somewhat disappointing. Please feel free to add anything I have missed.
