  4. PvP needs a complete redesign. Small band-aids can only stop minor bleeding but not stop the hemorrhaging. It's a huge under taking, while we players appreciate the interest the devs have taken recently with PvP. The changes are slightly jumbled and messy, I completely agree with Wargasm. They seem to only care about the now and not the long term. If you wanted my opinion I'd tell you to get a few more devs and a team made dedicated to the PvP side of Wurm and collaborate and focus on it for a few months. I'd also focus more on the PvE elements as lately they've been pretty few and far between.

  6. More or less, those that play the game only for this probably should look for a new economy simulator game. Classic WoW soon, I will be the best black lotus farmer ever!

  8. I mean I have offered in depth responses to this type of thread in the past, several of those I've been the OP of. We can discuss this forever but it's up to the developers. Stuff like item sinks would be appreciated to remove excess. Combination rare system. With decent chance to fail and destroy rares in the process. More item sinks, oh and did I mention item sinks? Fix loopholes like OP, myself and others have taken advantage of over the years.. rare material farming... Definitely not a exploit but a can of worms to the economy.

  10. this isn't a bug but it feels out of place with the new render improvements and maybe has been forgotten about. you ever run on a hell horse or something and notice fountain's start spouting water as you get near? yeah that's uh... super immersion breaking... also grass render distance could be extended while your at it.

One large issue this game will have even with new players is they'll eventually give up because the gate is so dated in other areas such as skilling, imping, interface, how to interact with the environment logic (mousewheel scroll wheel tool and mouse button 1 to interact.) This is a very common thing in other sandbox games so a lot of people expect to be able to do that right out of Haven, when they see how weird the UI and game logic is they log out likely to never return. Personally this is something I hear a lot from my friends who I try to get to play often. What I think needs to happen is them to introduce several QoL's to skilling and completely redesign the interface, however that doesn't mean they can't start an ad campaign. I've said it plenty that if you do a promotional incentive you'll have people come back in droves, it's already happening with the elevation reset and that didn't even offer one. Xanadu did one back in the day, those tents were pretty huge for new players. I also think because of epic's popularity they should consider doing cross skilling between the two clusters. This would keep people playing and feel like their not wasting time on epic. This is stuff I'd like to see but i've pretty much given up on it, cause it's like beating a dead horse around here. Also you should probably consider offering safe areas (no red animals) around haven and other starter towns and increasing the noob buffs to a week.

  15. this new setup has one annoying bug when I minimize a specific client window the game will appear on my other monitor, gets annoying and old quite fast... client doesn't remember positions of last time running a 2k side monitor (Portrait) and a 4k main monitor (Landscape) if that helps.. the client generally likes to open like this: white line indicates it's on my 4k monitor as well upon opening. (unable to fix this or get it working)

  17. The market is non-existent, if you like trading that part of the game is dead and gone. If you enjoy the community of this game or something else that's still around.

    Sorry I'm not understanding how you plan to recharge these gates, can you elaborate on the energy nodes, energy monsters and energy wells? Right now, i'm just trying to understand but it looks way to technical for the current age of this game currently "Year of 1084.", were barley even out of the viking age 793–1066 AD. Now you might say this is a game and historically not accurate with our timeline, while you'd be correct. This world of Wurm is more inclined to a magical alternative universe of earth rather than a scifi/fantasy world given some of the technology in the game like viking ships. So because it's more based on realism and you're mentioning science fiction based technology that we don't even have in our modern world. I'm not sure how this would work at all. The gates itself are kind of not technically there and shouldn't really be considered as part of the lore.
  19. QL doesn't matter or change price considering most people have 90+ LW or have a villager or friend that'll gladly do it free. Prices are even more concrete than before with the changes to uniques...
  20. Sound design in Wurm is really lacking its something I've complained about often. They could even go as far as to add sounds for opening/closing new items, casting certain spells which everyone around you can hear, new combat sounds etc. The game becomes technical and very less immersive every update. Think it's time development team focuses on sound design along with UI improvements.
