Goblin Skulls, Decay, Wurmians

They don't decay.

They litter everywhere.

Make them decay.

They won't litter everywhere.

If they're made to decay, I hope they will also be able to go in bulk storage.

They can be sacrificed; 100ql skull - 10 favor, if I am remembering right.

I've always been curious as to why they don't decay. What is the story/history with that? And while we're at it where are the troll skulls?

Decay would be one option.

 

Another might be adding more incentives for players to clean them up, by creating additional uses for them:

 

Allow them to be used as a very creepy wall/floor cladding material.

Bone altars for Libila followers. (Would also require skulls to improve them.)

Enable them as an option for sacrifice missions.

Make it possible to grind them up for use as a healing cover ingredient.

There have been several suggestions for additional uses.  

But they do not necessarily have to eliminate decay as well.

Then sac them, 100ql goblin skull is 10 favor, I gather them all the time for my priests to sac.

They are also used in bone hooks for fishing and a cup of some sort iirc.

I do too. But then I use a lot of other things for decoration and they all decay. So I just replace them with another which can be annoying yes but is doable. I'm not saying there shouldn't be a means of preserving decorations, I would personally love that, but like locks and keys the skulls do add permanent clutter when not being used as such. Uncluttering the servers is after all one of the main arguments in the forums for adding lock picking to PVE. Funny though that they are not advocating for this or other options to help unclutter the servers. 🤔

Everything else in the game decays, even things that don't decay in RL.  Goblin skulls and things made from them should also decay.

I think that the favor aspect is not enough known and published, frankly, I did not know it either, else I would have collected the skulls from the many gobs I killed instead of a "bury all".

 

That said, there is no need of skull littering at all. And when riding the realms, I find at most 1 skull against some hundred dropped archaeology fragments. Those do decay, but very slowly.

 

Edit: And bulk storage would be great.
