Epic was originally meant to reset on a set schedule anyways. I personally wouldn't mind a reset now, I'd probably start playing again, and then even if whatever work I put in post reset gets reset again, I still wouldn't mind. A continually resetting and refreshing cluster has some appeal in that it doesn't stagnate with power creep as the veteran accounts get stronger and traded around, while the newbies can never catch up. If you leave a pvp cluster running long enough without resets, eventually account purchases become almost mandatory to be even somewhat competitive in pvp.

Weird, it's almost as if the veterans who have played the game for years are upset about the current state of it, and the newbies who never knew it when it was good are complacent and don't want the game to recover.

Yeah it could be a ton of popup dialogs with multiple choice options all server side. Wouldn't look very pretty but wouldn't need a client mod either. I made one once where it was just multiple choice kingdom selection and teleporting you to the kingdoms spawnpoint, but you could make it do other stuff like what you want.

@Nappy used to have a mod that buffed archery towers on his desolation 3 server. Maybe ask him if he'll share it. It was a pvp server and archery towers actually became a threat if you were too close and not blocking with a shield properly

Add a tax to epic portals so nobody uses them anymore. Accelerate the death of a cluster.

Yea and the only way we could make our 5sp hellhorses go slow enough was by riding backwards lol What really sucked was when u fell through after riding nonstop for a little while so u landed in the water out of stamina. Then you either drowned or cried in teamspeak for someone to come cast refresh on you

It just ain't what it used to be. Most of what I once knew is dead and gone. The majority of the population has left. It's an empty wasteland reminding you of what it once was. Combine the lack of playerbase with the large scale of the cluster and you're almost playing a singleplayer game. This is how those of us who played Epic back in the day see it now. I sold my valuable items and extra accounts, gave away all my spare gear to the kingdom, and only held onto my epic crafter account and will never sell it, in the hope that maybe someday the game will be like it once was, but I don't actually think that will ever happen.

Remember the bridge VD built from the southeast island on ele to the Jk mainland by making little islands out of the ocean and island hopping with bridges? Yeah that was fun. 50/50 chance your hellhorse fell through and got stuck in the ocean, and you had to file a support ticket and by the time a gm responded your horse was dead. Eventually we found a workaround where u would stop your horse before the end of the bridge, turn it around, and walk your horse backwards off the bridge for each one in the bridge chain. It was weird but it seemed to stop us from falling through. This is also why VD named their war deed by hota "Fix bridges pls"
