  1. did anything changed? on the homepage GV is now labelöled as Trial Server and not as Login Server does this means its open to play free on GV again? Or still limited to the Tutorial?
  2. Oh how nice it looks noe, its so much more better for the eyes to read. only hose red topline or bottomline doesn't fits so good.
  3. San Andreas had Bets Location and Gamepley so far, i hope it will be more like San Andreas and not like the last one -.-. And make Aircrafts again.

  5. Can you max out every profession with a single char, or are you capped only to a cerain amoutn of profession skills you can have in this game?

    why not making different wagons, one thats faster, carry less one thats slower, carry more one acts as mobbile home, carry less, normal speed (same as large cart) so even the large cart would have its place. we really could use some more variety, and i think just changing some variables shouldn't make so much coding effort. And with the great art team we hav we will surely have some very good looking wagons too, and in a not so far future.
  7. no Friday is ok, its the best stresstest you can have for a starting servers, imagine you woudl one weekend later have all this troubles. Its better to have them at the beginning tha somewhere in between.
  8. sry most wrong thing I ever read in the last week. A new player won't even care about lyes ql he will just use any kind of lye to make hides to leather. And even 20 lye is more than needed for a qholw leather set. I on independence needed around maybe 3 hides to make a complete leatherset. Also with very low leathworking skill. just for creating any leatherarmour you only need ql 1 leather. Its enough for a noob, otherwise he wastes too much. maybe one or two higher ql leathers maybe 20-30 woudl be enough for a noob, further he wont be able to skill, otherwise he isnt such a "new" player anymore.
  9. Pelts are already useful I think the point is to make furs more useful. Perhaps using a needle on the fur to create a rug similar to what was suggested in the topic Alyeska linked. and maybe add a woodscrap then work with a carving knife to shape the head. At leats its funny that we have beds with no models that contain any fur, so i actually wonder where the fur goes to? is it for filling the pillow? wouldnt be feathers used for that? I still dont know where the fur goes to when we make a bed.
  10. might be right Aleskia, but for Steel you need: Mining, woodcutting, coal making, metalurgy and armour smithing, platesmithing. you can also if you want breed animals giving hides, to avoid all those long hunting trips. And imagine how much ash you cna get our of a single tree compared to the amount you need for soem charcoal. Realsim in a fantasy game does nit mean anything goes, it just adds fatansy elemts (like burning Spiders) into a game that still has some realistical rules, like apples falling because of gravity or not beeing able to make hide from only 1 drop of lye (in this case we really could get rif off all the lye ingame. But i still have to say burning creatures in Woods and Wooden houses is still a pain in my eyes and brain even in a fantasy world.
  11. That was more likely a drop shaft, possibly cause by the cavebug tunneling which really messed things up in a few places. Or did a tile actually say 'hole' like in the screenshot above? i cna also imagine that there is a dataloss causing the client not to create anything at that tile ehich causes the player to fall through the landscape.

  13. hmm some questions, if it is overmansize, wouldnt it be better if the statue looks downwards so that the god is watching at his minion/fellower? And im still a little confused whats the cause for this odd looking position of the emtpy hand. Whats the purpose for it? Maybe change it to the heft of the sword too. Or change it in a blessing position The rest is really great.

  15. +1 why should it be so easy? others have much more to do, like steel, need high ql wood, high ql charcoal, high ql Steel. So why not using more lye? because it would be more complicated? but lye isnt that hard to make, its just grinding like others professions still have to do it.
  16. this only counts for wild, freedom doesnt give you any skill. Sure it will be a disadvantage to new players not to have this possibility, but hey its not that problem, wild does not have many players anymore. And if anything should be changed, then before the start of epic. At leats i cant understand why bashing a bunch of stones gives any fighting skill. or a pile of scrap.
  17. I think lore's about to be turned on it's head with the forthcoming Epic cluster, which by the sounds of it will have a HotS home server. Wouldn't that be a carebear version of HotS? Doesn't sound quite as hardline PvP if that is the case. not exactly sure, Is it possible to raid those homeservers? afaik yes (but correct me if im wrong), so it would be ok because there is no real safe and peacefull place for HoTS. Just imagine that HoTS still overtake a whole Island and now are going to raid the others. On Independence ther eisnt any kind of chance for fighting each others so no place for HoTS there.

Im not really sure how it was before, but in my opinion, spawning should work in following way: every Tile type should spawn a specific set of creature, and lairs aren't fit to any special kind of creatures anymore. An example: A Lair is in an area between Steppe and Forrest, the lair triggers a spawn, this randomly around the Lair is choosing a Tile (as it is actually). The Tile then determines which Kind of creature can spawn on it. A small incomplete example of tehse Tilelist: on Forrest: Trolls, Goblins and giant Spiders, Wolves, Bears, Cats, Deers. on Stone: Cave Bugs, Mountain lions. on Grass: Cats, bears, wolves whatever fits, cows, horses, pigs, hens on Desert: Scorpions maybe lava spiders and Goblins, U know whatever fits to the locations. so this would create naturally wildlife fitting to Area around a Lair. We just need to decide whicht kind of creature spawns on which tiletype, and whithc witch rate, so lets say Goblins prefer to live in Steppe more than in desert, the Spawntable of destert has a lower goblin spawning rate than Steppe tiles have. With destructable Lairs, ppl can then decide just to lower the spawnrate aroudn their area by destroying Lairs. but this will influence any type of creatures and not only specific Kinds of creatures.

  20. And yeah those letters should be able to be put into personal mailboxes (unenchanted Mailboxes) so evveryone can have an own mailbox in Front of the house.
  21. why not shipbuilding? at least its more a kind of that than real carpentry or blacksmithing/jewlerysmithing.

    actually try to get some paint, there are still ideas to get other colors, but i think its far away from any kind of implemention.
  23. What about a kind of Housekeeper npc, maybe for 5s so even ppl withour premium could buy it easily, deeders wont need them. The NPC acts like a token covering an area AxB and "collects" all damage. So you can daily run up to this guy and ask: Hey dude, what you need to maintain all the stuff in this area? and he tells you then 10 planks, 4 bricks ... If you then bring this guy the materials he automatically repairs everything. This woudl save a lot of time for running around, chekcing and repairing everything around there. But he doesnt take any supply as stock so you can only repair things via housekeeper by going online and putting the items in. So if someone isn't online things will decay. But this won't solve the problem for nwebies that its hard to claim ant maintain a piece of land. actually in my opinion maintaining should cause less effort than building new. Actually building anything new causes less effort. Especially walls.
