  1. lockpicking was reworked easier to gain now but harder to pick locks
  2. it keeps going to lockpicking cause that was one of the ways mentioned in opening post -.-
  3. gains from fighting arent that good at all...
  4. ive been grinding lockpicking for a month or so (usualy about an hour to 5 hours a day) using SB and im still about another month of grinding with SB away from 30 -.- btw how long did it take the people who did it to get that much lockpicking?
  5. +1 /watches raiders from behind longhouse curtains
  6. i can name a few of them right now...but im not going to because its there choice if they want people to know that they did it -.-
  7. yea i made a thread about this a few weeks ago but i think thats how it should work or at least 50% chance to pick it should give more skill
  8. high 30s is still very high for lockpicking you can still pick 90ql locks with a decent chance at that level. The people who did it are lucky they didnt get reduced to 1 skill.
  9. Fo

+1 fo needs some help everything in fo has been nerfed because of pvp
  10. +1 except you would never be able to see what the message was if you already skilled a skill up ):
  11. +1 could also make it clear fog within an X amount of tiles near it
  12. Good idea, i dont think the changes effect freedom because he just took away the "danger bonus".
  13. the goal must secretly be to imp it to 90ql... /grabs his rockshards and chisel and heads to the pillar
  14. +1 almost no point in building these damn things
  15. yea that would be nice apparently all it does at picking with 50% chance is make the lockpicking gain appear more often so without luck its just as easy to pick a very poor lock then one you have 50% chance on.
  16. If only there was an option to catapult ship and chest locks off (:
  17. Quite the opposite... I don't think so he took away an exploit that wasn't supposed to be used in the first place. Get your facts straight, there was no exploit involved. He merely removed a INTENDED bonus that he considered to be too powerfull. http://wurmonline.com/forum/index.php?topic=69890.msg622483#msg622483 Yeah right, I know how it works with all games....developer gives something... player finds a way to use the said something more than was supposed to be used...developer removes the something. Regardless if you want to call it an exploit or just a work around easier way to skill up than was intended it was removed and he made skilling easier todo. I do not think there should be more skilling added just because he fixed something that wasn't supposed to happen in the first place to slow down skilling. There are other skills as well that you do not gain skill if you fail. As well as those that do not give more skill because you use items that do not attach as easily. Lockpicking should remain the way it is for a period of time to see what the skill rate actually is. Maybe in a couple of months when the dust settles on the correction then you can start talking about making it skill up more or less depending on the results of the latest change. He did not make it easier to skill infact he made it much harder to skill. Tell me one way its easier to skill before you post "he made it easier to skill" again.
  18. How was it made easier to skill? It's going just as slow as before the update when you didnt use the danger bonus for it.
  19. Never said it should be easy but higher ql locks giving a bit more skill would make sense or at least about 50% chance to pick giving a bit more skill would be cool to like with most of the other skills especially now that its a "grindable" skill and its going to take quiet a while for people to catch up with the ones who got bumpped down to 30 from the old danger bonus.
  20. i could of but i didnt i just cut out how much total i had so everyone wouldent know also it shouldent give "LOTS" more but a bit more to make it worth picking high ql locks instead of very poor ql ones
  21. why would you need to lockpick on freedom if its something you own or its on your deed you should already have the key to open it anyway
  22. above average ql lock which i was having about 50% chance to pick [22:10:12] Lock picking increased by 0.00397 very poor ql lock which i was having about 99% chance to pick [22:14:37] Lock picking increased by 0.00397
  23. im about to get back on wurm in a few mins and im willing to try it again il post the logs here
