Posted February 27, 2016 Hi, just wanted to say you can't make a shaft with a Crude Knife, the main reason i say this is because you need a shaft to make a handle to create a proper carving knife.
Posted February 27, 2016 (edited) Use rock shards on iron rock to create a crude knife. [15:41:23] You find rock shards! [15:42:03] You find rock! [15:42:14] You start to work with the rock on the rock shards. [15:42:23] You create a crude knife. [15:43:40] This piece of rock can barely be called a knife but it will do the trick. You dont use a shaft to make a handle for the crude knife. Edited February 27, 2016 by moogien
Posted February 27, 2016 the issue is that you can not cut a shaft that you need for a "real" carving knife

[16:21:29] You create a shaft. [16:21:39] You start to work with the crude knife on the shaft. [16:21:46] You create a handle.

As Moogien stated above, you can use a crude knife on a branch to either get a crude shaft or a shaft. Not a bug, but would be helpful if you asked that this info be added to the wiki. http://www.wurmpedia.com/index.php/Crude_knife
