It is all in the name... A container for seeds that acts like an inkpot does for ink. It would make it where we would not have to activate each seed individually when planting crops.

this already exists in game, you can plant from a Satchel

 

you just need to make sure you activate the satchel and not the seed on your hotbar

You don't even need a satchel. Make a group in your inventory, put seeds (or whatever) in it and place it on your toolbelt. Works for a lot of different things.

Wow! I knew about planting from satchel but didn't know about being able to put inventory groups on the toolbelt. Good to know!

The learning never stops in Wurm! 

 

 I discovered that awhile back when I was selling a lot of stuff at my deed token. You can setup 3 or 4 groups on the toolbelt, set a hotkey for Sell and you can queue them up pretty fast.

 

I've never used the satchel myself very much, but I believe the advantage is that you do not have to activate it in between actions like when using a group on the toolbelt.
