  1. That's the wonderful thing about online games. You don't have to play them or research or even look at them at all, you can just assume they'll be horrible crimes against reality and 95% of the time you'll be right.
  2. I'm cool cause I don't like new movies.
  3. lolscience

It's a clever play on words, very nice. Though the actual thing says "the love of money is the root of all evil" But that wouldn't have worked with the equations...
  4. Man those Amish really go all out, don't they? My family has always aired a little more on the subtle side of Christmas decorations.
  5. So now we just need the Vulcans to land so the human race will unite and abolish all negative things like war, disease and poverty. Cause that's the only way that everyone could use this. ;D Also WW3 is supposed to happen first.
  6. These started getting really funny toward the end.
  7. The biggest thing I don't like about Wurm is the amount of time it takes to build things. I know that for many people, this lends a perception of value onto what they build, but I am, perhaps unfortunately, inherently aware that Wurm is a game. This means that my accomplishments in it are therefore valueless, excepting for the enjoyment they provide. And where I gain enjoyment out of building and not PvP or social aspects, the more I build the more I enjoy. 'More' meaning more built, not more time spent building. Time is merely a barrier I must cross to reach the pleasure of having built something. So simply put, why would I spend 2 years working on a castle in Wurm (I did, Hammerfell on the current wild map, did not finish) when I can make an entire nation in half that time in another game? Answer: I wouldn't. But that's just me. Everybody is different. Everybody is right when it comes to themselves. As for what I saw in beta and what I see now, well, I personally never saw anything other than a sandbox building game and never cared about anything else but that. That never really changed much. The things that did change mostly had an effect on me through the people that I played with and who did care about them. I played on Wild because the people I liked payed on wild, so PvP changes effected me through the reactions of those people and through making wild more safe or more dangerous. If I ever argued about something other than building, it was to further the views of the people I played with so that they might stay longer and play and help me build some of the time, I never really cared about the things themselves. Though, I do wish the game had kept real politics instead of the styrofoam kingdoms it now has. That was much better. Even though my side lost hah.
  8. My brother married a girl like that. Well, she's pretty hot, but not that hot ;D She's completely supportive of him and.. umm.. shes pretty stupid. I guess she's not as far under my brother as she is me... still, it's terrifying to be around her much, she just bleeds dumb. I would have to have a girl who was at least close to as smart as I am, I'd be ok with her being smarter, if it doesn't bother her... She'd also have to be attractive enough for me to want to bang her for the rest of my life. Now, I know how that sounds, cause I meant it to, but I'm really not that shallow. It's just that I cant be romantically interested in a person if they aren't sexually attractive to me. And of course she'd need to have compatible moral and life standards, and I think I'd like if she was into physical things. I really do look for warning signs in people first, though. Pessimistic doesn't really describe it.
  9. You were in devil's peak with me way way way back when right? And in Angmar with me before that.
  10. Aye, they realized that the triceratops and another similar dinosaur were really just older and younger versions of the same animal. Kind of like if we found fossils of tiny horses and, instead of calling them baby horses, we made up a whole other species for them to be.
  11. The Future

You have the most depressingly abysmal view of the future I've ever heard.
  12. Reminds me of http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ApbvchiEdTY#t=26s
  13. I don't know about everyone else, but I tend to define 'good' and 'bad' on a personal subjective level when it comes to games. Therefor, no matter how many people play WoW, I will still consider it only a step above drinking moose urine. Likewise, no matter how many idiots and morons like Minecraft, I will still consider it the Best Thing Ever. Actually, I'm pretty sure that everyone defines 'good' and 'bad' on a personal subjective level when it comes to games.
  14. Definitely deserved. nope. first real fps was Wolfenstein I always thought Doom was the first, is Wolfenstein older?
