Wurm client doesn't launch

Title says it all

 

Shortcuts don't work, 'play' button on main site Java says loading, then nothing.

updated Java, didn't help. Reinstalled Java didn't help, done a system restore. Doesn't help.

 

Any idea what's causing this ?

Did you uninstall Java before reinstalling? You can also try to disable anything resembling a firewall, like AVG for example which might block things.

Yes, if I didn't uninstall it I would be reinstalling hehe.

 

Disabling my anti-virus/firewall hasn't fixed the issue :/

I also am having this problem. And the thing is that I have played WURM on this computer before.

 

Removing java and reinstalling it did nothing. Disabling firewalls didn't work....Can't figure out what's wrong.

 

WIndows 7, as soon as I try to run the wurmclient.jnlp a black window comes up and then instantly closes.

I disabled or changed the security level in java and I got mine to work

Had the same problem earlier, just tried again and it has resolved itself without changing any settings.

Figured it out. Had to open with javaws.exe, not java.exe
