Hello!

I have just discovered Wurm and am looking forward to playing, but after downloading the client, when I try to log in I see the bouncing balls, then the window closes.  The error I receive is this:

When you start the client, before clicking Play, click Settings and it's under the Compatibility tab.  I had thought it was something I had to do to my graphics card.  Just set VBO Support and FBO Support to "Disabled" and it runs fine.

Can we have the client default VBO and FBO to disabled so people stop having this problem?

I think alot of people have the same problem and no idea what these features do, however as they experiment on increasing the graphics from the default and become faced with this issue they would likely know what caused it.

I can't imagine how many players are lost to poor default settings. There must be a happy medium between yuck the graphics are awful to why the heck doesn't it work... We should really try to find it...

Wurm can be a very good looking game graphically, but do FBO and VBO do enough that they are needed as default on? I can't tell, i had to disable them to get the game to run...
