Posted December 12, 2015 I have been working on my starter deed for a few weeks now, I'm close to opening my server to the public. My question is what prevents someone from typing in my main character's name and clicking play? There is no account/character password. Is the character name tied to my Steam ID? What happens if someone tries to use my character names? What about with Family Share? Do you know if my daughter could log in as my GM from her account? Posted December 12, 2015 Yes, The steamID is how accounts are protected. If you log into a server with a character name, it then prevents someone else from using that character name on that specific server; 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Posted December 13, 2015 And in order for someone to access your steam account from another computer, steam will request verification via your email with a code to enable access via that computer.
