  4. After talking with joedodo on the topic of damage and information gathering. I believe I have come up with a way for us to start gathering accurate and useful information from people. This damage data will have similar format to the creation % and items involved. Example: 90 cloth tailoring, 90 QL loom = 46% creation chance While in a fight with a certain creature your damage to it will almost always be the same every time with only slight variation and damage is based on your skills, weapon type, and the target's armor. I believe with enough of this type of information we will be able actually create dps meters and more in wurm. Suggested Format: Wooden Staff Wound = 4.50~5.00 | Target: Crab | Staff:8.25 | Fighting: 17.89 | Quality: 58 Unfortunately, I have specialized in only staves so I will not be able to get information about other weapons vs different targets with different skills. So I ask for information from other players that are willing to help expand this data base.
  5. Pigs eat all of the above, plus BSB items and gross things like eyes: [00:15:21] A aged pig eats a basil. [00:15:26] A aged pig eats a belladonna. [00:15:31] A aged pig eats a blue grapes. [00:15:38] A aged pig eats a blueberry. [00:16:06] A old fat pig eats a bread. [00:16:11] A old fat pig eats a camellia. [00:16:15] A old fat pig eats a cheese. [00:16:24] A old fat pig eats a cherries. [10:25:26] A old pig eats an egg. [00:16:29] A old fat pig eats an eye. [00:16:41] A old fat pig eats a flour. [00:16:55] A old fat pig eats a green apple. [00:17:09] A old fat pig eats a green grapes. [00:17:13] A old fat pig eats a hazelnuts. [00:17:18] A old fat pig eats a heart. [09:57:51] A aged pig eats a kelp. [00:17:27] A aged pig eats a lemon. [00:17:32] A aged pig eats a lingonberry. [00:17:36] A aged pig eats a lovage. [00:17:49] A old fat pig eats a nettles. [00:17:54] A old fat pig eats an oleander. [00:18:39] A old fat pig eats a rosemary. [00:18:44] A old fat pig eats a sage. [00:18:51] A old fat pig eats a sassafras. [00:19:04] A old fat pig eats a strawberries. [00:19:15] A old fat pig eats a thyme. [00:19:23] A old fat pig eats a walnut. [00:19:35] A old fat pig eats a wemp seed. [00:22:38] A old fat pig eats a red mushroom. I only had one chestnut so I didn't offer it, but I'm sure they eat them. I didn't offer sandwiches but I"m sure they eat them. The server ate all our wine so I couldn't offer any of that. I'm out of olive oil for now, and haven't botanized/foraged for a while so didn't have an ivy seedling to try. Here are the things pigs won't eat: [00:15:57] The Old fat pig seems uninterested in the animal fat. [00:16:01] The Old fat pig seems uninterested in the bouquet of yellow flowers. [09:56:49] The Aged pig seems uninterested in the cochineal. [00:16:48] The Old fat pig seems uninterested in the gland. [09:57:08] The Aged pig seems uninterested in the lavender flower. [00:17:43] The Old fat pig seems uninterested in the moss. [00:18:12] The Old fat pig seems uninterested in the reed plants. [00:18:32] The Old fat pig seems uninterested in the rose flower. [00:18:58] The Old fat pig seems uninterested in the sprout. [00:19:27] The Old fat pig seems uninterested in the wemp plants. [00:19:54] The Old pig seems uninterested in the woad. [09:18:23] The Old fat pig seems uninterested in the Aged fat brown cow milk. [09:19:01] The Old pig seems uninterested in the maple sap. Crabs so far, besides fish, all meats, and the seed-type foods and mixed grass: [00:06:20] A aged fat crab eats a meal. [00:09:38] A aged fat crab eats an acorns. [09:16:36] A aged fat crab eats a risotto. [09:17:03] A aged fat crab eats a kelp. [09:22:38] A aged fat crab eats a pumpkin. [09:56:23] A aged fat crab eats an egg. I will try all the things I tried on pigs and report. So seal's wiki food is correct with fishes. Hmm turtles like olives, weird. Added. Crabs do seem to be sea pigs. Changed back to same thing it says on pig page.
  6. Changed crabs to meats, veggies, and seeds. I doubt anyone will try to feed them anything weird like pumpkins or herbs or saplings.
  7. I was also questioned how accurate the damage on your weapon when practicing correlates to the actual base damage your weapon does, but what else do we have? I don't really see any other information we have on damage consistency because it is so random when fighting other things. We already know mauls are good vs armor and cutting good vs light and that huge axes are the strongest. However, what is piercing really good for besides piercing chain armor?. I believe to start with one scale like the practice dummy damage is a step in the right direction for achieving what you want. It is better to put as much information as possible and when other people come by they can change and edit it.
  8. Added seeds to turtles. http://www.wurmpedia.com/index.php/Tortoise So your saying crabs eat everything essentially? Going to put "everything except meals" for now. http://www.wurmpedia.com/index.php/Crab
  9. Oh sorry its just when I edit I proof read before I post which usually doesn't help me find the mistakes. However, when I come back 1 minute later I scream, "OMG look all my mistakes!" and then fix them. I do the same thing them I post on the forums. Also, I have figured out how to edit the Weapon List Template and finished all the weapons.
  10. When looking at the main weapons such as longsword or maul there is a directory at the bottom of the page which lets you go to different weapons. How would I go about changing it so it includes the Steel Staff, the Sickle, and the Scythe?
  11. I was looking through the weapons and was thinking of changing the format to the following: Description: What is says when you examine the item in game. Uses: Can butcher Can be used to chop trees etc Weapon Stats: (not sure if to put last or third or second as this is a new section) attack spd. parry rate etc Notes: can parry looks awesome etc Right now weapons were edited by different people and have different format and styles. Look at the two handed sword that thing is crazy and the attack speed is wrong and should be five. Some people put everything into desc. or scatter everything around around. I want to make it neater and more user friendly. Opinions? Should I put weapon stats into the description or make a new section for it? Edit: Example: http://www.wurmpedia.com/index.php/Halberd or keep it like this: http://www.wurmpedia.com/index.php/Two_handed_sword
  12. Thanks I updated it, for some reason that zero slipped my mind even tho it was what I got. Yeah I am interested in off hand dps, but in a earlier post it said that you atk way faster with your off hand if its skill is high. I might test off hand attack speed at a later point, but I don't have short sword or small to test those, but will try with small axe. As for the combat system you can do anywhere from a 0-100 damage wound which is pretty random and that isn't really factored into the dps. So yes you can't judge how well you actually will do based of dps. Isn't there a butchering stat that defines how good the stuff you get is? And for scythe it seems quality doesn't matter of it for you get the ql equal to farming skill. Same with sickles relating to forestry skills. Well to be fair my fighting skill is 10... so pve is hard. Crabs destroy me even with chain and shields. Also, I have no enchants so LT is a no go. But, I still find pve fun and if I ever want to pvp I would try and go to Chaos, which I am told not to do under any circumstance. Wow thanks for the information on staffs and spears. However, after seeing the metal staff I was instantly discouraged of using it. Either way this tells me how strong axes and mauls are vs uniques, but that other weapons are still effective. I was told that at high skill you slightly attack faster so that might be what is happening to your high skill longsword. And yes I foresee the increased costs of doing things not the mainstream way.
