Campfire disappears immediately after snuffing

# What happened

I've tried several times to build a campfire spot for my camp. Every time, the campfire goes out immediately on snuffed. After asking for advice from the chat, I burned multiple wooden items (a partially used log and a low quality mallet head) in the last fire. The campfire appeared in it's snuffed state for about a second before disappearing. The kindling for creating the fire has a quality of 8.  
# What you expected to happen
The snuffed campfire to stay until I was ready to relight it (later in the same irl day.)

Start a campfire. Burn wood in it. Snuff it.

I tested this and cannot reproduce it. I was able to snuff, and then go back a few minutes later and re-light

I tried again after posting, fueled the campfire to max, and snuffed it. It still disappeared. Is there anything else I can provide to look into this?
