Wurm Never Starts :(

Recommended Posts

OS: Windows XP Home Edition, Version 2002, Service Pack 3

Processor: AMD Duron

CPU: 1.19 GHz

RAM: 1.00 GB

Graphics Card: SiS 315 Rev 00 (AG315-64)

-------

Error Message: You got disconnected from the server for some reason: <Lost connection to server>

What:

I press play, it starts loading and preloading textures, and once it says "Connecting..." it disappears and the error appears telling me I've been disconnected from the server..

I'm pretty sure it's my computer's fault mainly, so I'll try playing again tomorrow to make sure.

Also, all the settings are set to as low as possible since my computer is pretty slow. My internet connection is decent though.

---

Failed Fix Attempts:

• Turning off firewall/Anti-Virus(Don't have firewall)

• Restarted computer

• Closed any extra programs and made sure CPU+Memory was fine

Check your firewall, looks like something is blocking wurm from connecting to the server

I have no firewall, but I exited my Anti-Virus AVG, yet the problem remains.

I also forgot to mention:

My operating system is Windows XP Service Pack 3

My Java is updated

P.S. First post modified with more information.

I actually wonder if wurm would even run satisfyingly on that PC...

Are you connecting through a proxy? Do you have a router that might be blocking port 48000?

Nope, I even Ctrl+Alt+Delete to look at the processes and check which ones are taking the most memory and/or the most CPU, and everything is fine even before restarting my computer.

Probably not, but considering what kind of game this is, I could maybe handle the lag, and I could definitely handle bad graphics(Graphics are just not an issue with me, it's why I plan on being a game programmer :D.)

Well I do have a router, but how could I check if it's blocking anything? I still wonder if that's the problem though, because my favorite kinds of games are online multiplayer, and they usually work fine for me even on this computer and with the router.
