When I run the server on windows it works just fine but when I do the same things on Linux it dose not show up on the local list. The difference in the console window is that it says it connected to steam on windows and on linux it dose not say that after it says "wurm server launcher finished at (time)". I reinstalled it like 10 times already and even reinstalled the operating system a few times.

How do I turn off instant actions with a GM character? For example: mining not with the wand but using the pickaxe while as a GM instantly mines the tile. How can I disable this feature while as a GM?

yes I just found that out that only a GM has this issue I also noticed that as a GM you cannot do a lot of actions as a normal player like not mining instantly with a pickaxe

My client freezes when I click any drop down menu option in the settings or on the server, however the dedicated server dose not do this. My laptop dose not do this at all on the client software. The only way I can change preferences is by old fashioned keyboard shortcuts.

Any horse I lead will now follow me when I lead them on my server.

I was having issues with installing wurm on my new installation of wurm on my computer and realized that the icon was not creating and returned an error message to me. The only difference is that I had 64 bit version of java installed and not the 32 bit version. What I found out on my own by playing with files and stuff on my laptop was how to add this missing icon on in the exact same way it should be added by wurm which I will share with you. You can also follow part of these steps to force wurm to run on 64 bit if it is running on 32 bit. These instructions may be a little technical so please pay attention and be ready to look up to learn some new things about windows if you get stuck. The first thing you will need to know is where the address bar is on any folder on windows and how to use it to enter in any file or folder location in it. The other thing you may need to watch out for is the current version of java you are using and you may need to look threw these folders one at a time to look for the right version for example: "C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_40\bin\javaws.exe" may not exist on your computer because inside: "C:\Program Files\Java\", the folder "jre1.8.0_40" is not there however a different one is there because your using a different version of java then I am. With that said I will continue with my instructions. You will need to know where the adress bar is when browing for files on your computer in order to go to the locations that you are asked to go to Enter this into your adress bar: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Sun\Java\Deployment\cache\6.0\41 and copy the file name to the first file listed The name should start with this: "5fef8269" with a dash and some more numbers and letters after that Now go to: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs then add a folder called "Wurm Online" and add in a shortcut inside the fodler with the same name You will enter in the following into the location entry after replacing the word: <!!!FILE NAME!!!> with the previous filename we copied earleir: "C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_60\bin\javaws.exe" -localfile -J-Djnlp.application.href=http://www.wurmonline.com/client/wurmclient.jnlp "%USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Sun\Java\Deployment\cache\6.0\41\<!!!FILE NAME!!!>" Enter this into your adress bar: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Sun\Java\Deployment\cache\6.0 Copy the the name of the only file listed Now You will need to right click on the shortcut we just added click on "Properties" then click on: "Change Icon" and enter in the fillowing text agian by replacing the word <!!!FILE NAME!!!> with the last file name we just copied: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Sun\Java\Deployment\cache\6.0\<!!!FILE!!!> Once this is done click OK and then click OK agian and you are done

I am sorry guys but if you have nothing good to say then don's say it at all. There is no need to reply to this if your not going to recruit me. There are many out there that would give up 10 times that land for me to farm if I offer farming goods to the village for free. I find these comments rather rude that you guys are making about me asking for too much. You are not the police on this matter and this is not your job. If somebody wants me and willing to give up that much land then they will, if they are not willing then they will not it is as simple as that. I am looking for a place with an active community that prefers to communicate kind of voice chat like skype, teamspeak, mumble, or good old ventrilo. I hope that the community that is willing provide tools weapons and armor and other things like that however most of that I will not need. I currently have a village of my own on exodus server that I am ready to abandon and sail my boat with a few trips to bring some of my materials and wagons and other things that I already have. My main skill at the moment is terriforming however I can offer other things as well. I am into raw material collecting kind of skills as well like farming and mining and wood cutting however my woodcutting is pretty low still. I have been doing a lot of building and stuff in my village I was trying to start so I have a somewhat decent carpentry and masonry skill. I may help take in villagers so I hope you have some small noob homes on your place as well.
