  1. Its understandable cus it does suck when you watch a letsplay or a video series of something and its no constant or worse is continued. I dont plan to have a wurm video out every single day and some weeks might be absent but my goal is to publish videos every day of something. But I dont plan to just do a couple videos and stop. Iv been playing Wurm off and on sense it only had wild and indie. So once I do begin I plan to keep doing them for as long as people enjoy watching them. My channel has had a blackout in videos recently but thats due to waiting for my new microphone which I just got in the mail today. I also tend or used to tend to only record on weekends but that will change soon cus I plan to also live stream gameplays as well including a eve online corp tournament thats happening someday soon. All I can say is that once I start doing the vids ill be doing them for as long as people love to watch em. Im just the recorder...its up to you guys to help me figure out what I should point my cameras at.
  2. Thats not a bad idea. How and were does the impalong begin. I could actually live stream it over twitch. the program I use to record can both record to PC and to twitch.
  3. Well im willing to film in any location I can get to but right now I am stranded on Exodus and still in esert. Personally id love to start with the newest servers and work my way to the older ones. showing in a way the timeline of wurm...though I could start the other way around. begin in the oldest and move to the newest. What yall think I should do? Old to New or New to Old...also would someone be willing to help me get there lol.
  4. Awesome. What times are you normally online? I just got my new headphones today as well as the popfilter for the microphone thats still in the mail. backorder of it ment its coming right from manufacturer. So hopefully soon ill be doing some vids.
  5. At the moment I am in Exodus but I will start on any server that I can get too. Unfortunately im in the spawn area in Esert right now and my sailboat is up in the north. So if anyone wants to help me get up there that be great...or you can donate a boat to me cus your just all so nice. And thanks for pointing that guy out I may contact him.
  6. Thanks for the suggestions of what should be done. Still want more hehe. I plan to do plenty of timelapse videos and if yall really want ill entirely record us looking for a place to build. Still looking for people who would be willing to help out with the series such as giving me a tour of a location or an entire server. I wana find a place to settle down before recording and then ill just do a single scripted episode of me and who ever im with finding the location. I will be certain to do videos on epic servers and do some pvp at some point. If I have too may do multiple letsplay series. Once again thanks for the suggestions keep throwing them my way. Also if anyone wants to be a part of this just ask and tell me why.
  7. Hey everyone. I been doing some minecraft letsplays but been wanting to delve into lots of others games and I recently got the consent and blessing of Rolf to do stuff with Wurm. I am hoping to do a letsplay but to also do tutorials and sight seeing videos and maybe if there is time a machinima about...something...maybe a drama who knows. My question here is what kinda videos would you want to see that are all about Wurm? Were should I go, what should I see, and what should I do when I get there. Also if I did tutorials what should they be about...should I grab someone who knows everything about said skill to talk about it or should I just throw everything at the wall and see what sticks after some research. There is a lot that needs to be done but I want this series of videos to be something for us and you the community of wurm. Something to show off what the games about so that you can show your friends who are on the fence of playing to say "Hey...this is what its like" At the moment I dont have premium but shortly when production starts I plan to throw coinage at that. I also am currently living on Exodus and thanks to a death a few days ago I am currently hanging around the Spawn area as I dont belong to any particular deed. When all is said and done I hope to have produced many videos showing off wurm from some of the best visual locations to the greatest built deeds to some funny letsplaying to everything else in between. All videos will be recorded in full 1080p at a nice quality for youtube as well as playing wurm at its top most possible graphics at all times. Iv already tested and things game out well. I do plan to do more internal tests though. If ya like to see a video I created as a test a few weeks ago take a look at this. (Its a simple showoff of a location with no music and no commentary and was 40mins of film compressed to 20..Rather boring in my opinion but was to see about actual video quality. Was also shortened using WMM which I no longer use cus it rather sucks lol.) I hope to hear from ya guys and see what yall want for videos. If you want to be a part of this also just poke me I also looking for help.
  8. Sounds like a nice deal there. I been considering going to the new land or not. But if I can go and come back maybe I can hitch a ride on an exploratory ship and return if I see a location I am interested in.
  9. I not guna argue here. It seems a simple case of a king wanting peaceful shelter from his subjects and a trader wanting safe passage for commerce. But there is one problem not noticed. The uphill roads west of the port and bird hill. All but one go directly through deeds and are not highway size roads. The road that doesn't is the most windy and is not even currently on the maps. There are problems on both sides of this argument between the 2 of you. I also understand that though perimeter is not truly owned land. The FFC protects it by wanting people to ask each other. I also know those debating that its totally legal to build roads on perimeter actually might still ask and avoid it were they can. I only been in the game a week and Spage and Kilitra have given lots of help for me and my band of friends who now occupy a Deed that's directly on one of the roads heading up to the main road. We don't plan to block off the road leading to it though. We working on making the road straiter but its really not possible to make a nice road without twists and turns. the best thing to combat twist and turns is to just add fences to help keep people from falling off the ledges. But anyway it just seems that this highway in no way could make it all the way to the other highway heading to the freedom market. It could only lead into regular roads. Otherwise even if you disregard asking locals beyond bird hill for permission to place a highway. You would be stuck making a zigzag 2 space wide road up a rather steep hill. From what I know so far. Making a road zigzag that's 1 tile wide is hard enough but 2 wide would be harder. There no way to make a totally strait road beyond extending the steep hill outward and making a huge dirt ramp. Not to mention all the trees that would need removing and all the large and small deeds not on the map yet that you would need to wind around. I sure if yall think about it there could be some kinda compromise. Personally I don't mind people. We planning a small town market place. "Key word small" But I can understand Spage not wanting lots of people. I don't see him as anti social but more just looking for a nice place were he can get away from the traffic. A kind of peaceful refuge from it all which a major highway might disturb. Chewius however also has needs. He wants to setup a marketplace for the port town which needs a relatively safe route to other marketplaces. As far as I seen the games not lacking in helpful people. I sure plenty of people could help in making a even better road around the mountain the other way rather then right past Spage's door step. I don't have much digging skill but I don't mind moving dirt around or helping dig a tunnel or even making lamps to keep the tunnel lit. Heck even if it came down to a boat bridge I wouldn't mind helping with some boat parts. I making myself a boat anyway...could use the skill gain. Right now ether way there seems to be a big brick wall blocking everyone..metaphorically of course. Spage wants some alone time in his down time and Chewius wants a safe way for lots of people to get to and from freedom market. As far as I know Spage is trying to help with alternatives but when this all started I was in a power outages. Chewius you seem to want an easier way to get your project done. But whats better. Conflict or cooperation? Even if doing the other route will be a pain in the butt. If it was finished or if any other route you can imagine was finished. Which would be better for the both of you? I sure there not a lack of people willing to help finish it. I sure you could get help from a lot of locals around both of you to help finish the road. Arguing will get no one anywhere and simply isint needed. If I had to build a road through a mountain cus someones house blocked the path around I would. Heck a path right through a mountain might be a faster more safer route anyway. If the idea is a trade route then a little extra effort in the fastest and easy route to travel over the easiest to construct might be best. Better to think long term in these situations then short term. But I sure you 2 can come to some agreement without tossing hurtful words around. Who knows maybe there is a way that both can benefit from this. A new highway heading east then south rather then south then east would mean a nice route for Chewius and a more likely route newbies will travel vs going south which would lead towards him. Also there is the unspoken problem of being a CA for Spage. If a true griefer could easily get to an admin or GM or CAs house in the game then they could more easily grief them. I would also think a griefer would rather hit one of them more then some random person. To a griefer sometimes its what would cause a bigger impact on the community. A CA needing to cleanup there backyard due to a griefer means less time they have to help legit newcomers. Also even though its totally legal to build roads and fence on a perimeter. I am sure no one wants the game looking unmanageable and simply untamed or coming out being just 1 large city were needed forests or hunting grounds need to be deeded off like wildlife preserves like we do in RL. Though It seemed people diverged off the main subject here into something else regarding the morals and rights of construction. I think the main reason for all this is to see if there cant be another way to solve the problem at hand rather then debating if its even a problem or not. 2 people are arguing so its already a problem. No need for silly arguments of whats right and whats wrong. Lets just see if we cant find a solution to the current problem instead that makes everyone happy. Next time I have time I may go on an expedition to see if I myself cant find an alternative route for Chewius and if I can help if they decide on a route I will in what ever way I can. Besides, helping out would help me raise my skills.
