An accessible market is one of the most important assets to a new player. The ability to craft goods and trade them for things you can't craft yourself is vital. I look forward to building a merchant stall or two for my village here. Word of warning, establish yourself early for people to setup merchants or someone will beat you to the punch!
Best of luck -
It's not quite as grand as building the biggest market, or slaying the first dragon, or first to 100. I want to create a place where people log in, play together, teach newbies the ropes, and tell stories about that time an anaconda destroyed our entire party. For too many, this game is about walling yourself off and grinding in isolation. Guess I'm just happy as long as I make some new friends and create exciting stories about ridiculous events

Wandermere is a steam-server release village dedicated to crafting, trading, and adventure. We seek to become a home for mature new players and old players alike that are interested in developing a close mid-sized community. The town is 50x50, growing larger and will be located on the coast to facilitate shipbuilding and trade opportunities. Amenities will include public workshop, farms, animal pens, mine, and private housing space. More than anything, i want to create an active community that works together rather than one where everyone just hides in their corner.
We are currently 15 strong and recruiting a few more dedicated individuals. We are the leader of the Eastern-West Coast Alliance located at H10 on Harmony. Our alliance has over 30 active members and encompasses the entire coast.
- High Demand Professions: Miner, Blacksmiths
- 18+ Preferred
- Primarily US-based (EST,CST) but we have many EU members as well, welcoming both!
- Looking for people who want to contribute to the town's development. Your input will matter!

I was thinking of wanting to see a more modern looking city in wurm since the advent of multi-story. Looks like a great place.
Keep it up and update us with screenies!

In the middle-west. Our area has so much marble its insane, at least 2 for every 1 iron vein.
I have to travel to distant mines to see other ores

Lances would be an interesting addition to the available weaponry. +1

Thanks for the reply Super! Your settlement sounds great but sadly i like to shipbuild when i'm not on big projects so access to the shore is kind of a deal breaker
I wish you and your family the best in these rough lands!

Hello! I am recruiting for my current settlement Elwynn Forest, and am looking for players, new and old, to join me in having a good time.
Goals:
My primary goal in this village is to promote a fun and active community on celebration. I want to help new players learn the game, and give older players a place where they can spend time with others while playing.
Details:
We are a 25x32 sized settlement with room for expansion.
Just a 3-5 minute walk from Amish Paradise Market & Port
All the necessities a new player will need, including a large pine forest, An on-deed mine with Iron & lead, food & water, farms, animal space, and of course their own personal space.
Looking for possibly 5 players at the moment.

Is It Moot To Have PVE Travel Restrictions?

What chance does a new pve player have in an established economy? Or new PvP players have in old chaos?
Nobody hates old players on old servers, this narrative seems forced. People hate the idea of having their efforts be meaningless. People just want to play the game man. Be happy for the game, I'm proud of the direction they took for this launch.
In my village alone we have 3 veterans and 7 new players. They don't seem so isolated to me. Plenty of veterans are playing here, it's tons of fun. I can understand not wanting to start over, but for me MMOs are about social interaction and that needs to happen more when you have slow skill, specialized in one craft population
Frankly, I hope the servers never merge. Or if they do, it's like 3 years down the line.
