  1. Nodes are this week's uncovered wagons. Wurm Online: A Series of Poor Decisions.
  2. @KristerPlease sell me Wurm Online, the IP and the game.
  3. Krister makes Rolf look like a knight in shining armor... I would like to request Krister put Wurm Online up for sale. I will find the money to save this game from this chaotic nonsense.
  4. Why can't we have the original idea of Epic, but modified? Start a new server (not a cluster though, but has PVE safe zones and a PVP control zone. Everyone plays and does their thing, working to achieve a common goal for their faction. When that faction wins maybe their account gets a trinket they can place in game, like a trophy. Then a wipe is initiated and the server resets. Leave all of the existing servers alone, but release one that everyone knows is going in is going to wipe in 6-12 months. This way every 6-12 months we get a land rush, we get end-game type of activities, we get spiced up pvp, we get trophies that follows your account, and we have an agreed upon plan for how the server will reset to a new map. If people don't want to play, they can stay on the existing servers.
  5. Because fragmenting the player base across 15 or so servers is a good idea? These days 500 concurrent players is a good day. Divide that between the vast number of servers, and considering how many are multi-boxing, and we might as well play solo. Its crazy how we keep doing the same thing over and over, do not see results, and then people still resist thinking up a logical way to consolidate servers... Astonishing.
  6. At this point I can't wait for Pax Dei. After 13 years, I'm ready to move on from Wurm. Zero faith in this new "leadership."
  7. This is terrible. It is so much worse than it should be. Rather than release the site when it was done, with correct graphics, you release placeholders... to production. This is amateur hour nonsense. The site itself looks like garbage. Low quality cartoon style graphics, as if trying to recapture 1999 Runescape or something. I can't help but feel this is doom and gloom. If you give this much effort into your web presence, why should we continue to pay you and have faith in what you will do to the game itself? This game is fragile as it is. You're going down the road to destroy it because it feels like you don't care about the game. Only the money you may or may not make off of it. Please sell the game to someone who will love and cherish it, instead of accelerating it's death.
  8. This is what happens when the person in charge of the game, does not play the game. This is pathetic. The new logo is terrible. The website is horrendous. You have effectively pooped in the face of those of us who have played this game for over a decade, and in the faces of the people who see these fake images, then pop in the game are shocked. Way to go. Please sell the game or company.
  9. Weekly maintenance. Extra time today.
  10. Last year they announced on Monday 11/22. So today should be the day we know if there is a sale.
  11. I haven’t read all of the comments yet, but I was player A from 2010 to the Steam launch. At the Steam launch I played like player C. My skills on my Harmony toon are better than those of my Indy toon… Playing the game casually and “just for fun” gets you no where compared to if you play effectively.

  13. I have no issues with new servers if it means old servers get merged/closed/locked. At some point having a ton of servers to update, maintain, reboot, etc becomes nonsense. I do not work in the game industry, but I do work in the information technology industry. Even if these servers are VM's it takes man hours to make them work, and there is a point at which this becomes cost prohibitive. Bring back the original Epic idea and modify it. Come up with an incentive for people to reclaim silver or perks for the years they spent on these toons to move to the new server(s). Have a PVP map with exclusive resources of some sort in the middle, then one or two PVE servers on the outside. Everyone works toward a goal while giving PVP a reason without being a requirement, meaning PVE players can participate as well. Give the "winning kingdom" some sort of perk on their account. The servers reset every six to eight months, presenting a yearly "new server land rush" without having the server bloat. That rough draft of an idea isn't perfect, but today we are right back in the same boat of having 400-ish concurrent people playing. This time last year it was about the same number, except we are even more spread out. How many times do we need to see landrushes bring people back, only to have most of them leave after a short time?
