Wurm Singleplayer

Recommended Posts

As we have all noticed Xanadu is practically the size of 16 indy servers combined into one.

We have 4 Pve servers witch aren't even nearly filled by our current amount of players. Xanadu might aswell just be made into it's own game with the new graphics and including it's size. A freedomer won't say name gave the idea of how Xanadu should be made into wurm singleplayer. Could be with npc's and such because what is the point of bringing 16 new indy servers combined into one. The only thing Xanadu would achieve is leaving only 20 people on a server because everyone has decided to go over to Xanadu.

Yea but what about all the deeds we have over here currently what about the people who aren't looking for a fresh start building from the grown up again?

how about moving all other pve server to somewhere inside xanadu? moving al the items and deeds of those server and combining them into it? no idea how hard would be to do,but there is plenty of space for sure

I like my deed on Release. The only way I would move to Xanadu is if my current deed could be picked up (the form put back into inventory) and my upkeep returned or if I am kicked off of Release because it no longer exits.

Or this. If they could somehow duplicate my buildings and work.

If that were possible, that's the only way I'd go live there.

Don't be stuck in the now, think of the later.  They're testing larger servers so as to cater to more players in the longrun.  Larger servers means larger playerbase means more money, this is a business afterall, just as any other mmo.  Think of it like a WoW expansion pack or something.

I see like 0 proper advertising, its all word of mouth, and that wont even spawn in 100 or so players. Bashur's return was only 30 newbies that stayed for a few months, or until he left again. ._.

Work on the playerbase itself before big ideas like a server we don't need. :)

If money is the goal, then singleplayer could be a option.

But I like how Nomad looks at it.

Better be always prepared.

Yeah, it's like a future investment.  If they can figure out what type of server load it can handle, work out the kinks, and get it going.. it's just more money coming in.  It's a typical business investment, of sorts.  Sure, it benefits us, the players, it's hand in hand!

lots of data for the new guy to work thro, pretty much the only thing I see going on here is client streamlining and bug fixing.
