remove all the post you want but the truth is right here, a customer most likely a premium player has figured out a work around, no programmers help no support. This is an issue that someone needs to address if you look to survive long term. Basically dedicate paying players deserve dedicated programming and support. I know what i am talking about I provide top level support for our globally used software, so in a nut shell I support 24 7.

Most of us here are professional developers who just happen to enjoy playing wurm. We didn't just figure it out randomly and its 4:00 in the night in EU, I'm sure the developers are all sleeping. Be patient.

For anyone that would even want to use Chrome. and how to do this. 

Make a txt. file and paste this info

 

@ECHO OFF

c:\windows\system32\javaws.exe -J-Dhttp.agent=Chrome/33.0.1750.154  http://www.wurmonline.com/client/wurmclient.jnlp

 

after that save as all file types and rename it to have the .bat

Edit- also sets Wurm to use 64 bit and is stable client.

But the work around will affect those who do it tomorrow, so it just keeps snow balling. You will be on here tomorrow night after they fix helping everyone reset the shortcut. Right click that link and copy URL, highlighting and copying it won't work right.

it is easier to add to the shortcut instruction. I would copy your current shortcut and edit the copy. That way when they fix you can delete the work around copy.

Problem is that when highlighting, copying and pasting that, it takes the shortened URL with it which won't work.

 

If these forums had attachments enabled this would be easier.
