Posted February 26, 2014 (edited) even with fixed writ locking there is no point too lockpick...people can just focus the lockpicker and gg....i have never been able pick through a house when someone targets me and then whacks me for 5-10 damage adding a huge timer to lockpicking...Atleast when there was more than one it was harder target all the lockpickers and chance actually get the lockpick action. And then of course they would relock it....EDIT:most people shouldn't even be talking about the change if they can't even lockpick themselves....they just experience the other side and thats mainly cause they don't know how counter a lock picker easily... Posted February 26, 2014 Picking good locks on deeds / boats shouldn't be super easy. I like the change. If you want to be successful picking any and all locks, become a Safe Cracker, or Vault Shadow xD Hi, I am both a safe cracker and vault shadow. I still think this change is bad.
Posted February 26, 2014 I liked that idea where multiple people picking a lock decrease chance slightly. Picking locks can take ridiculous times even with multiple people. Having multiple people try to pick it may not be realistic, but it only seems fair. Realism wouldn't be a good excuse I think. Realism doesn't mean it's more fun. Posted February 26, 2014 Maybe add if the lock is over 70QL allow 2 people to pick?

Posted February 27, 2014 to be fair, is it "fair" to easily lockpick something that (boat wise) took a lot longer to build? or, in a houses case, may have a LOT of good items in it? Also, can't you break the walls down? O.o

Also, can't you break the walls down? O.o how about you get the skill first then try it yourself if you want nerf it....and pls do on pvp server not on those pve servers where no one attacks you... EDIT:changed to try EDIT:answer your question its HARD..... EDIT: notice how all the lockpickers know how stupid this is. not about being bias just simple balance....before this update i thought it was as close as balance it could get....maybe nerf boats/carts/wagons but it was doable within 4 hours... Posted February 27, 2014 I thought the problem with writs/lockpicking was that after lockpicking, the owner could just resend the writ info and it would relock or something? Or just unlock building, lock again, any doors opened by lockpicking are closed again. Is that what they fixed?

Also, can't you break the walls down? O.o What makes your think lock picking is "easy" when enemies are around? You can easily make boats in a few days whereas it takes months of grinding just to have decent skill to actually break into things. Also, walls can be knocked down by catapulting or bashing.
