Well it's happening to me as well.  I'm starting to lose valuable prem time on two accounts since the server move.  Based on what everyone else is experiencing I really don't need to do a trace route to know that that is the problem.  What are we suppose to do if we are one of the ones that are having issues like this.   Do we just have to quit playing and lose everything that we've spent our money and time on.  ???

Occasional jump and lag spike, both my clients just D/C for a few mins, had to hit retry 3-4 times over a cpl of mins before it would reconnect; "Time out" error.
No one else D/C.
Australia and it wasn't my net, checked that by loading other things straight after the D/C.

A traceroute will show us the path that your data takes in order to reach the server. As this is most likely a network issue, we need these reports in order to identify where the issue along the path is occurring, as not everyone has the same path.

 

This explains why some players are not experiencing any issues, whereas others are barely able to connect at times

Lag is getting bad, I had a 25 minute period where everything was refreshing, and I could not leave the building I was in or get off the wagon I was on.

That was followed by a few 10-15 minute periods of the same thing.

Also I have been loading into the sea for 10 minutes before the land loads around, and sometimes it doesn't load at all.

For me its more just minor annoyance. I had a far better connection to the old servers. So far its happened twice today, D/C and lagout

Sadly, This is not an issue that a Wurm dev can fix as the traceroutes being posted clearly show an issue between your ISP and the servers that wurm is hosted on. From my understanding the reason for the nodes being down is because some kid is bored.

Please note these issues lie outside the host, changing host has had no effect other than routing to different servers, there are many reports of traffic routing across various countries having issues, not just wurm.

 

 this IS related to the new host as its a new issue and the host peering.

up until now I was only lagging every once in a while but now I see why others are complaining, unplayable entirely... Needing a VPN to access (To bypass the bad routes),

maybe someone is attacking someone else causing overload at init7.net or something, but this problem is related to that, half the traffic across the world is struggling to get to there, your data center should be able to tell you why.

ok...this is no longer intermittent lag.  I was trying to go after Malicarth's horse in my cart with two horses...killed by a hell hound.  Trying to get back to my cart, my client is now alternating between 'not responding' and simply being frozen.  I have no idea where I am anymore, and I'm fair game for any beast/spider that shows up.
