Posted February 21, 2014 (edited) Gief! woa and coc casted waters should affect the smithing as other casted smithing tools does.coc is maybe a litle late for me but at least it will help other smithers. Woa can be handy for me tho when in a hury. So, what do you guys think? Edited August 3, 2014 by Tarkie
Posted February 21, 2014 The system works as it is.
Posted February 21, 2014 i dont see the point of being able to use coc and woa on every smithing tool except water, which can be casted but wont affect it anyhow...
Posted February 21, 2014 The system works as it is. Tempering being a waste on time in every way possible, yes
Posted February 21, 2014 its hard enufe why not let enchanters improve the grind
Posted February 21, 2014 coc already works on water.
Posted February 21, 2014 nop it doesnt. i just tested with 61 coc casted water.
Posted February 21, 2014 WoA works if the item has WoA, but not the water.
Posted February 21, 2014 Tempering being a waste on time in every way possible, yes  Its absolutely retarded how the tempering action works.
Posted February 21, 2014 Did you try tempering with the item activated or the water activated? Indeed the item being imped (assuming it is enchanted) will use it own enchants if the water is activated. However, the reverse method of tempering with the item activated was the original method. I dont recal if the water enchants still work that way. Havent bothered checking in years.
Posted February 21, 2014 Just to made sure i double checked and tempered with item activated and with water activated twice. not coc, nor woa works. (item unenchanted, and 2 different water, one enchanted with woa, one enchanted with coc)
Posted February 22, 2014 To clarify:  WoA and/or CoC on water does not affect tempering in any way. WoA on the item makes tempering faster. CoC on the item does not affect tempering skill gain.  It doesn't matter whether you activate the water or the item. Posted February 22, 2014 Could have sworn that enchants on water already worked. If they in fact, do not, then this needs to be rectified, for consistency.
Posted February 22, 2014 Enchants on water worked with cloth tailoring AFAIK. But not with smithing.
Posted February 22, 2014 Massive +1 Coc and Woa can already be cast on water and coc works for washing with cloth tailoring. No reason at all this shouldn't work for tempering Quick fix now you finished with 1.2 and we can call it a late feature
Posted February 22, 2014 If you add this, then add so coc works on logs, leather and other stuffs.
Posted February 22, 2014 If you add this, then add so coc works on logs, leather and other stuffs. The things you've mentioned are raw materials. In that case water used as a tool.
Posted February 22, 2014 (edited) If you add this, then add so coc works on logs, leather and other stuffs. But it does? Either way it should Edited February 22, 2014 by san_tropez
Posted February 22, 2014 IIRC it's this way to keep it in line with cloth tailoring, leather working, carpentry, FC, ect. Something about one of there tools not being CoC able (I'm guessing the cloth/leather/logs?) so this was made to "equalize" it.
