Posted February 21, 2014 (edited) I have windows 8 .1 . I go to wurm online and D/L client, What to do next? I have no option to run it. Only to open it. I am a total noob to windows 8. Any and all help appreciate. I disabled virus protection and firewall. This makes no difference. All I can do is open wurm client. Why do I not have and option to run client? If I double click client all it does is open the file. I am also not a very computer savvy person. I look forward to peoples advice. Posted February 22, 2014 When you download the wurm client you should have a file called wurmclient.jnlp, you need to tell Windows how to execute this file. I have WIndows 7 so this may be different on Windows 8 - right click file wurmclient.jnlp and choose Propertieswhere it says "Opens With" hit the change button and choose the Java Web Start Launcher, if this is not listed hit the browse button and find the file javaws.exe. On Windows 7 this it is at C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin\javaws.exehit OK button to apply the change Double clicking on wurmclient.jnlp file should now run it using java and start Wurm Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
