Posted February 20, 2014 Make a new section called PC or Price Check. We need to keep selling and auction sections devoted to bids and offers. I don't like seeing people getting their selling or auction posts getting hijacked by others commenting on how their products or characters are overpriced. Make a sticky for auction and WTS clearly stating that is not allowed. PM the seller if you feel the need to share with them your feelings on how they priced it wrong, but NOT publicly. Most folks are apologetic when they realize they shouldn't, so let's make it easier and give some guidance with a sticky + separate section just for PC. Ty! Posted February 21, 2014 Well, what about a sticky at the top of Auction and WTS threads, discouraging people from hijacking or downgrading the value of what folks are trying to sell? Posted February 21, 2014 I would support a rule disallowing people offering their opinions on the value of a sale thread unless it is posted as a Price Check. It's rude, I don't believe it is usually in the interest of helping the seller or the buyer. I think it is for personal interest to drive a price down / grief someone you don't get along with / or a crappy negotiation tactic. Considering the fact that there is no value on anything in this game. There are market averages which people generally expect to pay, and often times get bent out of shape if they are a higher price than the norm, but you don't see anyone derailing a thread yelling about how cheap anything is do you?There are many factors to determine a price, and as long as both the buyer and seller willfully agree to it, then it is a fair price. (Whether you agree or not, and whether you would sell it cheaper or not.)Some people have the luxury of time so they can wait out for a high price some want quick sales so they sell cheap. It is the same for a buyer, without the luxury of time as patience you may pay well over the market averages to acquire an item. Although with patience you can wait it out to snag up a "steal" price when someone wants a quick sale. Really, if someone is selling too high, and you REALLY want to help a buyer, post the same item at a price you think is fair. Otherwise you had no business opening your mouth. Posted February 21, 2014 This honestly does not happen enough to warrant making an official rule. Also, if the person doesn't like how their thread is turning out if it is being hijacked, then please report it, and it will get dealt with, or ask it to be closed, and make a new thread clearly stating that the opinions of the last thread are unwelcome and will be removed if found.-1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
