Posted February 19, 2014 Hi, it would be nice for a character to get the option to use a two handed weapon like Huge axe, large maul or two handed sword with one hand and shield. To stay realistic it should be possible with a body strenght of 40+ or 50+.The parry rate should be lower and the damage should be reduced (I loved it in Diablo 2 to use 2 handed weapons with shield on my barbarian). Posted February 19, 2014 (edited) large shield is bulky and slows u down, so with a huge maul in one hand, u'd swing it maybe 2 times a minute dual smaul is the way to go with high smaul skill, it's like hammering a nail Edited February 19, 2014 by froggy25
Posted February 19, 2014 Oh sure lets give Nadroj even more advantages.
Posted February 19, 2014 There should be an option to use a spear one handed with shield, like a phalanx
Posted February 19, 2014 We need to balance what we have better first so that there is more variance out there. And lets not give those with very high body stats even more of an advantage. The spear and shield though +1.
Posted February 19, 2014 we can use planks as weapons-id like to be able to smack people upside the head with a fish

Posted February 19, 2014 dual smaul is the way to go with high smaul skill, it's like hammering a nail lol -1 though, mostly for removing diversity. Why would I even bother using a longsword when I can just use a two hander both ways?
Posted February 19, 2014 Good idea, if a third hand is added with the title Handyman (women not allowed due to lesser strength). Otherwise nope. =Ayes=
Posted February 19, 2014 Because "two-handed" really means "one-handed"?.... .........

Posted February 19, 2014 -1Older players don't need more and more cards played into their hand to easily kill less skilled players.
Posted February 20, 2014 (edited) +1 if done so that when you have the shield on your weapon deals damage similar to the next size down and with a lower shield parry rate anyways. Edited February 20, 2014 by Elen
Posted February 20, 2014 +1 if we also get the ability to slice throats with metal shields. I mean realism in wurm right?
Posted February 21, 2014 Only ever seen this done once, and that Skeletons in The Elder Scrolls IV wielding a two-handed Claymore in a single hand, looked pretty dorky. The name is a 'two-handed sword', why would it be given the ability to be wielded one-handedly...-
Posted February 21, 2014 Oposite to this suggestion, I would say its more feasible to give a bonuses to single handed weapons used as 2 handed weapons. For reasons of gripping it better, or having more mobility to balance, a long sword with a free left hand could have increased statistics, be it CR or Dmg. same for mauls and axes
