Buy more silver, expand your deeds!

Pump more money into Wurm, the kind the DDoS'er will never see with his current job at McDonald's.

I only ask that nothing be turned on until everything is working as it should so we do not get any false starts.  Anything that is great is worth waiting for,

I have to say this is the most true statement ever made.

THANK YOU ROLF!! You really know how turn a bad situation around and make it awesome!

I say, give priests the ability to pray x5 times however many days they missed in a row on the day the server goes back up. Maybe double the gains for the regular daily 5 limit. Or triple depending on the days we missed out.

Do you mean Telon, as in Vanguard: Saga of Heroes?

I came from VG, played since launch.  Soon as they announced its end I began searching for something that could help relieve my pain and suffering.  Wurm works!

I have to say, I recently picked up the game. And have enjoyed F2P very much so far.

However the way that you have gone about this ddos attack and taking the oppertunity to upgrade has made me want to get premium.

Good work!

I also enjoy reading these threads a lot, as in contrast to most other MMO's that go down for a few hours (let alone days)

Usually most players/customers start getting pissy immediately, we are two days into downtime and I have read one post out of many that someone felt the need to lose his cool and decided to type with caps lock on..

This tells me that this game has a lot of community support, and many reasonable and correct/friendly players.

My thumbs up to the entire Wurm Online team, those taking part in the server move, those taking part on the forum side and to all those who support the dev team with those couple coins called premium.

Thanks!

Um, something seems to be wrong with the servers. I did what I always do when playing wurm, I took off my pants, folded them and put them on the couch. For some reason however I can't seem to login anyway. Didn't even help to put my pants back on. Who is this Ddos guy everyone is talking about, did he break my game? Who will feed my horses or for that matter who will feed my avatar, must be very dark and lonely with the server being down.

On a more serious note, great game, enjoy it and the parts of the community I have been in contact with have been lovely. I patiently wait (by playing harvest moon), so can't wait to try out the 1.2 update.

Hope it is sorted soon! Have a major exame next week so need Wurm to work so I have something to blame if it all goes to hell.

Rolf can you give us a headsup before the servers go online so I have time to bake cookies and buy provisions to last a while!

I downloaded the game yesterday, and haven't played it yet, but I'm really really really keen to get going. Seeing how well Rolf and co have coped with the DDOS attack has impressed.

Oh, and I've been watching the Factional Fight Brothers videos while waiting to be able to register.

Well the downtime sucks a lot, but thank you for keeping us updated.

Hopefully the new servers will be nicer.

Server devs are currently configuring the new servers. Things are looking good, but we do not have a new ETA at this time.

Well, here is how it seems to me.

As I write this, it is 10:30 am over in Sweden.

The fact we have not had an update yet, leads me to conclude that good news will be forthcoming soon.

   Why, you ask?

Well if it was going to take a long time, a) They would know that by now, and B) They would have passed that info on to us.

Hence, I think it will be good news, and I think it will be soon.

    :)

(Note:  I wrote this before I got to see Manny's post up there.)

I think if the ddoser's intention was to increase our confidence in the Wurm staff, he succeeded. Thank you for keeping us informed about the progress, you guys are awesome!

Love you guys for updating this frequently and reacting this fast to this difficult situation. Coming back to wurm was indeed the right choice for me since the devs and community are unique, and i mean that in the best possible way since people here now how to help and behave (in 99% of all cases though)

In my Job, we have had similar occasions where we had to switch hosts and/or servers. While my participation was more in a project management capacity I understand that its not a quick and easy thing. When we had to go through this sort of thing it was "all hands on deck" and no one had time to give the customers any kind of feedback other than "we are working on the issue". so I sympathise with all involved in this change you have been forced to do sooner than planned and would like to say that so for you seem to be doing a stellar job. keep up the good work. I think I speak for a lot of us here when I say we appreciate the effort :)
