We're not fresh off the boat but we want more advanced training like fighting, PVP specifically and maybe some crafting. We come from Mortal Online and would love to be picked up by some PVP group that is willing to teach 2 guys to be able to fight against other players without dying instantly. Posted February 17, 2014 Weren't you just killed yesterday on Serenity? if you have a microphone, go look over at Jenn-Kellon Elevation, they have some PvP Elders, and their deeds are pretty nice to be around. Posted February 17, 2014 Yeah, I spent like 1-2 hours trying to find my body after dying to a crash/cougars. Then got killed by some naked guy on a horse so i rage quitted. The Freedom and Epic Portals aren't teleports. Portalling to one of the Freedom Isles server from Epic for the very first time would actually create a brand new unskilled newbie-tooled character with the same name onm the Freedom Isles server you select for that very first portal use, not transferring any attributes/skills or inventory with you. Think of it as making a Freedom isles clone, where your original Epic character is put aside while you're in Freedom until you take a portal back to the Epic system where you left your Epic character. Once back to Epic, your character then has all his stats and gear as you left it entering a Freedom portal in the first place. Likewise, if you then portal back to the Freedom Isles through a portal, you'd have that 'clone' as it existed when you portalled through to Epic. Posted February 18, 2014 (edited) There's 2 options for you. Either you play on the Epic cluster/servers which consist of 1 central map and 3 other maps, each of them belonging to a kingdom. Epic has quicker and more casual fighting and a quick skill gain system. The Freedom cluster (Chaos PVP server and 4 PVE servers) have the normal, slow skill gain system, a massive map and a different, slower form of PvP. Chaos is connected to 4 PvE servers, so trading and travelling between these servers is possible. The Epic and Freedom clusters are completely separate and have nothing to do with each other! You can use a portal to travel between them and you will be able to play under the same account name on both of the clusters, but you will have 2 completely separate characters. http://www.wurmpedia.com/index.php/Server_types This is a perfect example of how confusing it is for new people to chose a server and how we're splitting up the already small community of this game. I think I'd rather be part of HOTS as they seem a lot more pvp centered or atleast raiding types.
