uh do you mean change a tile to another tile? because if so, changing it to sand would be completely pointless lol - just take sand and drop it on dirt. bam, sand.

 

Would like to see a way to ADD clay....or tar, ect though.

+1 to a separate rod that costs 1G and creates a 3x3 area of clay/tar/peat/moss with the tile activated on as the center. Or 2x2 if you can figure out how to decide the center of it.

So you'd need to spend 2g in order to make 4x clay/tar tiles to dig them? Seems balanced, +1 for me, -1 for destroying infinite resources though.
