I use to play, never got into anyone's town though. Pretty fun game if you like something to do besides wurm or even with wurm for a bit.

hmm, at first glance looks like social game.. second glance.. not intrussive, no facebook, no 'BUY ME BUY ME BUY MEEE', and can keep playing and grinding that golds tho some stuffs are obviously locked... could this be a proper game?

The thing i like about the game is that you live in your own town and have to the town to get a better shops so there will come better costumers.

And when you help the city you will also gain materials faster so you can produce more items to sell :)

When I played you could buy things to get up and running a bit faster, but I (even with my spending addictions) didn't feel any need for it. Pretty sure you can play the game fully free, without any real issues.

sounds interesting, like role reversal. you are not the adventurer, you are the guy he got his sword from.

You can use thugs for such things in Swords and Potions 1 as a registered user. I prefer the game mechanics of S&P1 in general. No free resources, your workers level up, they need salaries, crafting is accelerated when you use skilled workers etc. The only changes that I really liked in S&P2 is the way that shop and city improvements work, the global/city market and the fact that you have more control when you give quests to adventurers.
