premium month vs deed upkeep month

I'm still a bit new here, but I'm learning. I've got a deed and purchased premium time. I can understand using 30 day increments to calc a month just to make it fair. I can't validate using a 28 day cycle to figure deed cost. Why is a deed month shorter than a premium month? I can't recall/ cite where I read it and please correct me if I am incorrect, but supposedly a month of deed time is just 28 days though I pay for a 30 day period to be premium lol

Deed time is measured in days and can very depending on deed size.   The number of days doesn't really matter since it's just an estimate.   Whereas the cost for premium is fixed.

the 28 day cycle is used as it is 4 weeks, whereas the premium time is given as just 30 days, regardless of month and such

In settlement info, it isn't an 'estimate' it is an accurate description of the time left for the deed if the parameters of the deed aren't changed.

 

It does in fact run on a 28 day cycle, why that is i can't remember (either wasn't explained, or i just forgot) xD

Thanks, the four weeks to a month will work well enough for it to stop running in my mind to the point it causes a stroke.

It is an estimate based on the fact that during a month things can change.  Guards hired/fired size of deed changed etc.  But I suppose the calculation is based on 28 days due to February.  Who knows why they scheduled on 28 day cycle.   But you always want more than a month of upkeep anyway or your buildings take damage.  I keep my deeds at over 2 months

An in-game Starfall (month) is always 28 days. As a deed always is paid using in-game currency I find it natural that the deed cost also follow the in-game calendar time wise.

I don't think that is the case as wurm time is 8x faster, a month ingame is actually around 4.5 days for us.

a 28 day month simply accounts for 4 7 day weeks per "month"
