Download size on first install?

After searching your website and forums for quite some time I find my question thus far unanswered. Could someone point me in the right direction? I primarily use a broadband wireless connection which is limited beyond a certain useage so this information is important. Thanks in advance!

After checking the download packages, I can confirm the sizes are:

Graphics pack - 612mb

Sound pack - 203mb

 

the pmk pack is something just over 2mb, and is negligible.

Thanks for the input. My big concern was that many MMO games have downloads in excess of 20g, even the old ones like original EQ rank up there at 8g. Since I am nearing the end of my billing cycle I needs be aware of scraping that cap or pay deadly in overage fees.

Hard to say if that will stay constant as even the default gfx packs get updated off and on.

While you are right klaa, those figures were taken from attempting to download the individual packs and are up to date.

Over time they will grow, and updates will come, but for the moment those are the correct figures

I do realize that in this age of more-or-less unlimited broadband for most home users. However, there is a large segment of folk who still need to manage data consumption for various reasons. My suggestion is to add a details segment to your download page giving some indicator of size. As mentioned earlier, so many games have such a huge download size that it's best for users like me to subscribe to a night's worth of wifi somewhere rather than burning our mobile data plans. Yeah, I am mobile for the majority of the year.
