Posted January 25, 2014 (edited) Night sky/trees with super bright terrain My cave has +40ql lamps on every 3rd tile and it was always lit up fully. I just wanna play with GLSL shader on..When it's disabled all dyed items look like plastic and water isnt realistic. And cave is still dark, even if shader is on/off. All this happened after the last update and ive had this for a week now. Edited January 25, 2014 by silakka

Posted January 25, 2014 Same from me, especially cave lightning is very annoying.
Posted January 25, 2014 distant walmut trees are bright as a light beacon, once you get closer they turn almost black. caves are pitch black even with 50ql lamps.. dont really like that
Posted January 26, 2014 just to add - the caves get extremely dark when you get closer to cave entrances.
Posted January 27, 2014 was digging through some old screenshots and was surprised how bright my tunnel actually was. Hope this fixed soons.

Posted January 29, 2014 AFAIK the cave lighting issue is known - something to do with an update to lwjgl and the new engine not being fully finished (I think) The other issues with trees and landscape etc I haven't seen before.

Posted January 30, 2014 The darkness in the mines is being worked on already, we all see the same thing, no matter what system we have. However, we are all not seeing the day/night issue so system specs and console logs are needed to pinpoint that issue.
Posted January 30, 2014 I have pretty much stoped playing Wurm pass while until I can see.Game is just to dark in the mines and not much beter outside.

Posted February 15, 2014 I just reproduced the day/night thing. If I have VBO support set to 'disabled', I see night sky and sunny terrain. Is that your setting?
Posted February 17, 2014 (edited) I have the same problem, here is some pictures of how my night is after the latest update, in Wurm. Sorry for the glitchy double layer, I kinda messed it up when I copied the screenshots in paint. In games the ground is even a little bit brighter than on this picture with the glow effect. Posted February 17, 2014 Turned VBO to Core instead of Disabled and now it works like normally, but on the wurmpedia wiki it says:For Intel usersDisable VBO (compatibility tab)If it still crashes, disable multidraw (compatibility tab) http://www.wurmpedia.com/index.php/Common_bugs_and_solutions So I was following their advice before, maybe it should be edited? Posted February 17, 2014 Thanks for the confirmation of your settings, Nocturnes. I can't answer your technical question though as to what settings you should change or if you should at this point. I just wanted to check that the VBO setting was what caused the night/day issue. I've reported it as a bug and will let the devs sort it out.

This is for Intel GPUs. You have a nVidia GPU. Intels drivers tend to crash when VBO is enabled.
