Posted January 19, 2014 SO i have read the wiki and spoken to CA's and just want more clarification on domains, as info does quiet add up between the two. Wiki states a underground domain will be above ground as well but wont be stated in a message. Ãs this True? If i have a vynora altar above ground and a mag underground, will the mag altar show above ground and will it affect the vynora faith bonus if it does? or if I push the mag altar above ground and it is weaker than the vynora will it still repair the building when the mag rite spell is casted on the server. tbh, my vunora faith bonus is more inportant to me, but if i can have the mag repair somehow as well I won't complain. Posted January 19, 2014 As far as I know, the two worlds are completely isolated when it comes to domains. I presume that this is the phrase in question ? You can have 1 domain below ground and 1 other above ground without them affecting each other.Underground altars will still give their bonuses above ground, for example, underground Libila altars will spawn mycelium above ground, however you will not receive the domain message moving through these underground altars. Note that the 2nd line talks about the bonuses, not the domain, which is certainly unclear. If I get a chance, I'll see if I can check for other domain bonuses on the test system sometime. Posted January 19, 2014 After reading the wiki it said that the underground domain can be felt above ground, so in reading that I wonder if the domain from underground would effect the faith bonus of the vynora on top. If the dont both exist on top then this becomes mute. I know the wiki can be incorrect sometimes, I just wanted to know where it all stands. Thanks for your reply Seara. Posted January 19, 2014 (edited) My altar is in the mine so it's Fo's domain underground but above ground it's Vynora's domain. I have high faith bonus in the mine and 0 faith bonus above ground according to the spell effects window, however I don't know if the effect of spells like Holy Crop and Ritual of the Sun can cross the ground level. Posted January 20, 2014 I remember pushing an altar 20~ tiles into a cave, then relogging to fix the domain message issue, and building a different religion's altar. The domain would toggle between the two religions when entering/exiting the cave. I'd imagine it still works this way as nothings been noted anywhere about it. Posted January 20, 2014 (edited) Aye they are currently isolated when underground or on the surface. Apparently whatever code links activities on the two maps doesnt include domains. Ive seen this demonstrated over and over again through the years with the altar types that can not be constructed within other gods' domains.
