Crashing - can no longer play Wurm

After whatever update that was today (Jan. 14), I can no longer get into Wurm. It starts up, and as soon as the login bar finishes, I crash. Will I be unable to play Wurm on this laptop now? I don't want to update the OS, so I think I'm at my last version of Java for this lappy. Here is part of the crash log, do I need to post more?

Uninstall Java, check for any updates for the OS, install updates, restart system, re-install Java. If it keeps crashing try removing Wurm and re downloading that as well.  


 


Also do a complete shutdown, not just a restart. I don't have many dealings with Mac's as of late but that would actually make a difference for some issues

Java comes with this version of the OS.


 


Devs I'd love to get some help, 6-7 premium characters plus the deeds are relying on playing on this laptop.

It worked fine till this update , have the latest version of java for mac installed . removed and re-installed Wurm , hard and fast crashes thats the client end , any update from dev team would be greatly appreciated

I was able to log in last night, but today I cannot log in as well.  I am running OS X 10.8.5.   I have tried uninstalling both Java and the client, then I used the suggestion in the link in a post above to run the game from the terminal.  Nothing works.  The game window opens and then crashes before the splash screen even appears.

Tried on three systems now.  10.6.8, 10.8.5 and 10.9.1


 


All crash. Only 10.6.8 gives me the Wurm crash report.

Ok I tried Wurm from a newer Mac, and it also crashes. I thought maybe because I don't want to update this OS past 10.6.8 because of Rosetta might be the culprit, but my new Mac can't run Wurm either. I'm sorry but here comes the whole big crash report, I was told to post it in case it helps. Devs, this is not fair, I have a lot of animals and crops, everything will die.

It's possible you might figure out what's wrong from the log file below, but if you can't, post the full log on the wurm online forums, and someone else might be able to help you.

Just tried disabling everything in the compatibility section.  After doing that and attempting to open Wurm again, I actually managed to load the splash screen, but when it said "connecting" the client crashed and I actually got a crash report this time.  Also, my crash report said exactly what the poster's report above said, but I was not able to copy paste it for some reason.

I got a crash with my normal settings but the multi client settings seem ok. Might be worth trying to mess with the settings.

About 20 minutes ago, Wurm crashed with an error called "/ by zero."  I kept on getting error 2 until I disabled everything in the compatibility tab.  So far, I've been able to stay on.  *knocks on wood*


 


My computer runs Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, and I have the latest Java update for 64-bit systems.

These crashing errors will be fixed in a client update in a few hours hopefully.

I think my issue was resolved.  It turns out there was yet another Java update since I last updated it (since my system is 64-bit, I have to manually check Java every so often to ensure that I have the most recent update).  I installed it, and Java wouldn't let me run Wurm.  Fortunately, that issue was resolved when I went into Java configuration and added http://www.wurmonline.com to the Exception Site List. It hasn't crashed since *knocks on wood for 20 minutes*

I was unable to play after this mornings update (January 15th) even though I had no issues with the update before that was preventing everyone else. So I did ^ and now everything is working again. Thank you for posting that.

Latest client update should have fixed that so you can revert that security setting. Try anyway..
