Posted January 3, 2014 Is Blender compatible with Wurm model creation ? Or is there other software that is, that doesn't cost in the 3-figure bracket ?
Posted January 3, 2014 Wurm models can be imported in blender.
Posted January 4, 2014 What about export ? I couldn't find out about export file types in the tutorials.
Posted January 4, 2014 Wurm is not user-modifiable. Any changes to the packs should be automatically detected, and official ones would be downloaded again. The Terms and Conditions prohibit modification of any game asset, or any "hacking" of the client.
Posted January 4, 2014 I'm not looking to modify or 'hack' anything. I'd like to learn a modelling skillset that is compatible with Wurm so that I can submit suggestion models some day, maybe even volunteer some time to Deving if I get any good.
Posted January 4, 2014 As stated above - you can import into Blender, but you cannot export back into Wurm to see changes.
Posted January 4, 2014 File type shouldn't be really any problem as you can convert those into other ones, so I'd recommend you either *.blend for ease of use or *.obj for bigger compatibility.
