Posted January 1, 2014 (edited) I've been doing what's called a "Political Compass" test with friends recently and it's pretty interesting. You take a small questionnaire and it'll give you an estimate of where your views stand. I'd love to find out what results some other people get... here was mine: And if you're wondering what results on the test mean, then there's this handy chart that converts results into something more understandable. Also, there's a chart of modern political leaders, and you can see where you stand in comparison to them. A cool feature of the website is that you can create a crowd chart of everyone's results... I've started one off below and will update it with results posted in the thread, just give me the numbers that you get back and I'll add you to the chart. Early synopsis: Wurmians are all Lefties! (Not surprising though since most gamers are young (under 35) and are hence more likely to have Liberal & Left views.) Posted January 1, 2014 Put it all on a crowd chart, and I'm both surprised and not surprised. Surprised to see that everyone who's taken the test (so far) is in the same quadrant of the graph, but also not surprised because we know that the majority of gamers are young (under 35) and hence are likely to have more liberal views. I'm sure someone will buck the trend if we get more people to do this, but on a whole it looks like Wurmians are Socialists Page on the site is here
Posted January 1, 2014 Economic Left/Right: 4.12Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -4.41I thought that it'll go a bit further.Well, I guess I'm not as corrupt as I thought! I'm not sure if I should be either worried or proud of myself.
Posted January 1, 2014 Just asking for trouble aren't we? On the other hand not really asking for views on particular issues persay. Well... assuming each box is a scale of 1 on each axii, I would be (5, -3) at least in US politics. Republican with mostly Libertarian tendencies. Course I do understand what some may call the Right or Left can differ a bit, depending on the culture.

Posted January 1, 2014 (edited) Really interesting... thank you for giving us the link. First take (fast answering):Economic Left/Right: 7.66Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 5.16 Second take (better thinking):Economic Left/Right: 7.45Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 2.39 Anyway, both the fast paced and the better thought ones placed me in the conservatism section. I personally find it quite accurate. I can relate with the leadership styles of the leaders I'm close of (Obama, Merkel, Cameron).
