Posted December 4, 2013 Guess we should really decide which mapformat we'd like to keep. There's really no use running two projects without even bothering to talk to each other, or is there? Here are the advantages of each map, as far as I see them: Photoshop map:- Names directly on the map- Currently looks a bit nicer Online map:- Easily editable- Can be kept up-to-date by several people at once- Allows searching- Allows to hide unwanted elements- Less clutter- Zoomable Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Posted December 4, 2013 An additional advantage to the photoshop map is that its an image that can be downloaded and viewed on any device. I created a new thread so I could make changes to the first post such as title, tags, or anything else. This is what's been done in the past with other community maps as well. Posted December 4, 2013 As far as the map-updates are concerned, two threads would hardly make sense.Both maps rely on the same data, just displayed in different ways. Better to keep em together. By the way, the offer to add descriptions to your markers still stands, so feel free to post those along with the coordinates. That way we'll have them both here in the thread and on the online-map. Posted December 6, 2013 (edited) If possible, try to be a bit more accurate than just the gridcoordinates. One square on the map is still a pretty big area. Online map has been updated with markers for tar and clay (including many that weren't mapped before). Mailboxes, traders and merchants are also in. All of those are set to "hidden" by default, so you'll have to enable the respective layers first, if you want to see them.
