Current carrier information that I can find (at least based on looking up Jenn001 and Freedom001), since I've got nothing else to do while starting at the screen....

+1 with some conditions. They need to be held accountable for their lackluster service first and foremost. Search for another provider but do some homework. Like Klaa mentioned most areas aren't overflowing with providers.Who knows, maybe that is the better one in his area, and if so that is sad.

I would assume it's halfway decent, as many of the high-traffic sites they host seem to be online casinos, which are as sensitive or more sensitive to uptime for their operations than Wurm.  But yes, if this is 4 days of ISP nonsense, 4 non-weekend work days...agreed it is pretty sad.

So far Rolf has more or less gone with small datacenters that don't have much redundancy - if the servers was to be moved I'd like to see it moved somewhere like Leaseweb or OVH as both have very extensive networks in the US and EU. Leaseweb likely has the higher quality network.

The number of active players isn't enough to need more than a few white box servers in a basement, with a little extra AC for cooling. I really don't mind small operations and appreciate the genius that went into making this game, but think moving it to a hosted DC and tier1 ISP would be appropriate at this point. Throw in some redundancy and GSLB and we can say goodbye to this nonsense. Please do so and up the sub rates to cover.

Thanks!

All ISP's have issues from time to time, usually it affects businesses or customers, a hub going down is not a sign of cheap or dodgy service, its a hazard of the business.

Just because its been playing up is no means to demand more, be patient guys.

A single 'hub' going down should not render an entire datacenter useless and if it does you have serious redundancy problems. It should literally take a bomb dropped on a datacenter for it to entirely go down; not someone tripping over a wire.

You'd be surprised at how easily things like this can occur, and no,  a hub going down isnt enough to bring down the whole datacenter, but enough to render a few servers troublesome
