Salvage Rules

Recommended Posts

The area were i am set up (a bit north of the settlement redcliff) has a incredible amount of abandonded boats just sitting in the canal, one has even been there for about 6 or so months if not more

i was wondering, if possible, if i could claim salvage on those ships

So it is impossible for me to claim these ships as they take up space?

If they are in the way and on deeded tiles, you may have luck with a /support and asking the GM's to move them off the deed.

As well, if they are unlocked and unmoored, they can be taken. It's owner beware if you don't take the steps to secure the boats. You cannot take a boat across servers that is not in your name.

But if you take an unlocked boat..and put a lock on it..you lock yourself out of it (because you cant manage it)  also...so still is no way to claim ownership (salvage) of an abandoned ship.

Very true. Meant that the true owners of the boat need to lock and moor their boats to prevent someone from taking it. Tired this evening so it didn't come out that way.
