Can We Get Quests To Keep The Game A Little More Lively?

Recommended Posts

as fun as this game is it can get kind of boring after awhile....can we find a way to liven things?? maybe with quests that actually have a start and end point? or even some small storylines and tales??

The fun part of wurm is making your own quests in a way. Something as simple as "kill 10 deer so you can tackle the spider" to Mine 1000shards, make 1000bricks, Build a great castle. Sometimes it is overwhelming, and if you find it so mabey ask around in your area for things people need help with.

If you really wanted, I could make some cool storyline quests that involve tens of thousands of kindling, but I doubt they would keep you interested for long

Not sure how it is not lively, I am sure you haven't done everything Wurm possibly has to offer.

I can understand how you feel but really wurm is driven solely by the players within the world. You are supposed to make your own quests and goals... Or grind. Which ever tickles your fancy.

Currently there are several quest lines running on each server, like dig 1k dirt for 1s, or bring me 1k bricks + 1k mortar usually rewarded with 4-5s, etc.

You only need to look around.

player made missions.

Exist on epic

For example I currently have a mission to shoot muzk, complete it, get an iron coin.

The thing is if Wurm was to introduce quests. it would end up as yet another WoW imitation. That is not what we, the majority of the player base wants. There are missions on each server you can do, or pick a skill and try to get as high as you can in that within a time frame. But as far as quests go, no thanks.

An Oldie But Goodie

Voice over:  Meanwhile, King Arthur and Bedevere, not more than a swallow's
             flight away, had discovered something.

Knights of Ni: Ni!  Ni!  Ni!  Ni!  Ni!  Ni!
Arthur: Who are you?
Knight of Ni: We are the Knights who say.....   "Ni"!
Arthur: (horrified) No!  Not the Knights who say "Ni"!
Knight of Ni: The same.
Other Knight of Ni: Who are we?
Knight of Ni: We are the keepers of the sacred words: Ni, Ping, and Nee-womm!
Other Knight of Ni: Nee-womm!
Arthur: (to Bedevere) Those who hear them seldom live to tell the tale!
Knight of Ni: The knights who say "Ni" demand..... a sacrifice!
Arthur: Knights of Ni, we are but simple travelers who seek the enchanter who
        lives beyond these woods.
Knights of Ni: Ni!  Ni!  Ni!  Ni!  Ni!  Ni!  Ni!  Ni!  Ni!
Bedevere: No! Noooo!  Aaaugh!  No!
Knight of Ni: We shall say "Ni" to you... if you do not appease us.
Arthur: Well what is it you want?
Knight of Ni: We want.....

(pregnant pause)

                             A SHRUBBERY!!!!

EDIT: If you have not seen Monty Python's Holy Grail, you are sadly deprived.
